badaboom
Disappointing......Disappointing Indeed I wish Luthier and his departing team the best of luck,I really feel they meant all the best for DCS WWII. I can only hope and pray Belsimtek take over and Manage this project,They're the only team who have actually produced anything concrete and useable in DCS World for over a year. ED Team f-18hornet Posted June 8, 2014 ED Team Share Posted June 8, 2014 I agree, it should be a part of DCS World. Splitting is the opposite idea of DCS World, and it will make the updates\open beta more complicated for the developers. Thanks for update. I also agree it should be a part of one DCS World. My point was it is ready and the people who have been lucky enough to try it have spoken very highly of it.. There are other companies out there putting in the hard work. Grim_Smiles
If everyone was expecting Luthier to fail like many are saying in this thread, why did they back the Kickstarter in the first place? Those that backed didn't except things to go downhill when they backed it, they weren't expecting him to fail then. With the large gaps in communication, the length of time for some people to get promised rewards (some still not getting them) and a lot of excuses seeming to be made by RRG, that was when people started to get worried - hence why they weren't surprised to hear this announcement. I'm not sure what happened with Luthier, but I'm not assuming it was anything like him being sacked for mismanagement. I know he was going through some personal problems when the project started, so to hear he's no longer with the project came as no surprise to me. 1 "Hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky; With hideous ruin and combustion down; To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire" (RIG info is outdated, will update at some point) i5 @3.7GHz (OC to 4.1), 16GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 970 4GB, TrackIR 5 & TrackClip Pro, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder Mk.IV, Razer Blackshark Headset, Obutto Ozone

ED Team NineLine Posted June 8, 2014 ED Team Share Posted June 8, 2014 Those that backed didn't except things to go downhill when they backed it. Nope, but I surely wouldnt have backed had ED not been behind him from the start, I knew that if something did happen, ED was going to be there to pick up the pieces... I didnt wish for this to happen like this, but glad the safety net was there. westr
I am a bit worried about my WW2 backer user name details etc, I am buying a new house and cannot get virgin media where I am going. Therefore I can't keep my same e-mail address. Is it possible to change these and still be recognised as a backer does anybody know? I didnt wish for this to happen like this, but glad the safety net was there. Yep, exactly. I didn't get burned by the CLoD debacle, but with ED putting their good name on the line as well, Lutheir's questionable reputation didn't bother me as much as it would have otherwise. At least we know we WILL get the planes we hoped for, to ED standards, even though it may be at ED speed ;) Incidentally, I picked up CLoD earlier this week for a tenner and, once patched up with the Team Fusion mod, I'm quite enjoying it. Between this, the DCS modules I've not yet mastered, and the DCS modules releasing in the very near future, I'm not going to run out of fresh flightsimmy goodness :) Per Ardua Ad Aquarium :drink: Specs: Intel i7-9700K, GTX 2080TI, 32GB DDR4, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E, Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.

I don't want to throw water on this love in but SiTH knows as much as the rest of us. I don't think he's told anymore than the rest of us. I recall in another thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123538&page=12 SiTH assuring us "work continues, even if communication is less than advertised." Which it appears wasn't true. There were a lot of promises on the kickstarter including expanding to the Korean War which I don't think is in EDs timetable. I'm guessing beyond the map in 2015 there will be no more input from ED regarding the original Kickstarter. That is not EDs fault, fair play and kudos to them for picking this fiasco up but there are other things beyond the map and aircraft mentioned in the OP that were the reason some folk pledged money. I eagerly await news from the internal meeting Good Grief
