Mainstay Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Goodmorning all ! What a beautifull day it is. Looked outside to see a beautifull clear sky where i imagine a FW190D9 crossing at the end of the day when i get home from work. I have faith in ED lets make it happen
Sabredog Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 That sounds dangerously optimistic Mainstay! I would love to come home to my shiny new FW190D9 though. Let's hope ED can pull it off.

Aginor Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Meh, 1-2 days more for the ED web team to do the backer stuff :) DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
[DBS]TH0R Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Meh, 1-2 days more for the ED web team to do the backer stuff :) A good reason for delay IMO. So that we can sort our backer stuff before hopping into Dora. Especially those who wish to get their keys from KS pledge. Raven68 Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I think someone saw this coming. ;) I think we can live with this though. :) Well the worst that comes from the backer page not being ready is you A) Have to buy the Dora B) have to wait a little longer for the Dora.... Sabredog Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Well, can't say I'm surprised. Good news for us backers though.
Krupi Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Unfortunately I now have to settle for both scenarios... I bought the 190, technically for the 3rd time, and now have to wait  So as you can imagine I am rather peeved off at the delay, I do not think for 1 second that the module has any issue but rather release has been stalled for the backers page :( Edited August 5, 2014 by Krupi Windows 10 Pro | ASUS RANGER VIII | i5 6600K @ 4.6GHz| MSI RTX 2060 SUPER | 32GB RAM | Corsair H100i | Corsair Carbide 540 | HP Reverb G2 | MFG crosswind Pedals | Custom Spitfire Cockpit Project IX Cockpit
Sabredog Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Why did you buy it 3 times? And why did you jump the gun and buy it again before we had any news about the backers keys?
Krupi Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 $300 backer (2 keys from that) and I didn't think the backers page would be ready so bought it again (like a few others) to get the pre purchase discount... ED Team NineLine Posted August 5, 2014 ED Team Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Little write up by Yo-Yo to pass the time... hopefully Google translate doesnt butcher too much :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2137895#post2137895 Little add about Dora. As you remember, the starting post of this topic was written almost immediately after Dora flew. Now, after the July trip, which was able to spend a lot of time together with Erich Bryunotte veteran Luftwaffe flying in Dore (and 109's and Ju-52 and a lot more than on) and become a proud owner of a unique document - instructions pilot on the Douro, which is very well complemented our existing manuals can be a little supplement and clarify. About off if you wish, you can enter at once with 3250 r / min, with increasing speed release the brake, right pedal withdrawal Fending off to the left, do not give much to scour the plane. Handle almost immediately set about the center. Plane practically flies itself with three points, or a position with a drooping tail, in the separation requires a small correction roll handle. Chassis under- stop wheel, remove at 250 km / h. Flaps removed after retraction. The best climb at a speed of 280-290 km / h. Takeoff (3250 rev / min) allowed no more than 30 minutes in case of emergency Plane to the DCS strimmirovan ROP for cruising with n = 2200-2400 rev / min. Approach and landing: Landing gear at a speed of over 300 km / h, the flaps - 220-300 km / h. Speed on the glide path - 200-220, touching - about 170 km / h. In fact, the flaps were released and a much faster rate - nothing bad happened. The fact that the pilots were given the Douro, but did not give manuals, did not have time to print, so they were their own testers. And that is typical - no one crashed. Gaining more height and found limits. On landing, I wrote that it is impossible to put on a good two points ... so - Dora planted in the real world only three POINT. Exclusively three. Landing in the two-point position is easy enough to perform on the British and American planes are not for Dora in principle due to sufficient diversity to the main wheel center of mass. Flagrum Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So after spending $300, you decided to spend another $40 in order to save $10. There is a saying in german, maybe in english, too, but I can only translate the german version: "Who buys cheap, buys twice". Or thrice. :o)
cichlidfan Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 He is quite easily the first in line waiting for the Dora to drop... dont judge him ;) I am not judging but I did call it. ... Just delay the release until the backer page is ready. That should have been the plan from the beginning. Krupi Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 So if I get this right, you should only try for landing on all three wheels and not on two wheels? Yes, while the 50mm fuselage piece balanced the aircraft for flight the aircraft was quite nose heavy on its landing gear. There was a marked increase in nose over landings compared to the Antons and the Ta series were even more prone to them, so yes practice at 3 point landings will be needed.
