greco.bernardi Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 It will be the first time that i will not buy a module at pre-released...i want to buy BUT... I can´t fly anymore since 1.2.12 update1, because my frame rate drop to very low fps.....Since it i get a 2 fps (slide show) with a BF109 and too low frame rate (-10fps) at all other modules. I don´t know why! My GTX460 work fine at 1.2.11 and first open beta realeased 1.2.12 and now i can´t play DCS
OnlyforDCS Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 + Dont know about anyone else but I would buy the beta Hind as soon as it was made available, ditto goes for the F14... But yeah, in principle I agree with you guys. Its just these two airframes...they would break my resolve :) Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

flanker1 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 does somebody know if a UTI (trainer) version is planned (would be cool, only if AI)? the mig-15 UTI was in service as trainer until the late 80ies.
xaoslaad Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Why not in the store?!!? Also, is MiG-21Bis and MiG-15Bis a coincidence, or is there something about Bis lines that's particularly interesting? I don't know much about MiG's or even what 'Bis' means, so I guess if I knew that it might explain. Edited December 12, 2014 by xaoslaad

ED Team cofcorpse Posted December 12, 2014 ED Team Posted December 12, 2014 , or is there something about Bis lines that's particularly interesting? I don't know much about MiG's or even what 'Bis' means, so I guess if I knew that it might explain. "Bis" is upgraded version. It translates something like "another one", another version.

ED Team cofcorpse Posted December 12, 2014 ED Team Posted December 12, 2014 If I understand it correct, it came from French
xaoslaad Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bis Seems latin; similar meaning in music. Interesting; learn something new. edit: and used by French and Italian audiences to request an encore apparently: http://www.yourdictionary.com/bis crazy what you learn waiting for a MiG Edited December 12, 2014 by xaoslaad

SilentGun Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 hehe... now that im thinking, maybe DCS should put up the NATO callsign. ya know... like the F-86F Saber or the UH-1H Huey or the MiG-21Bis Fishbed. So it would be the MiG-15Bis _____ <---- fill in the blank (just a joke):megalol: Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... xaoslaad Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) The dirogatory term has two g's (and can also mean a bundle of sticks). The planes NATO designation has one g. At least that's my take on it. I guess it's pretty much interchangeable and maybe my distinction is my own. Edited December 13, 2014 by xaoslaad
Random Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 fagot. as in a bundle of twigs. who could get offended by that? Well considering why that term has come to mean homosexual it should be used very carefully.
Flycat Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 MiG is first letter of two chief designer's name in this manufacture. It's Soviet style nomenclature. But I don't know how to spell their name in Russian, sorry for this two great engineer. :(
tusler Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 It has now become a matter of collecting DCS stuff. I can hardly believe we are getting this level of fidelity in simulations for the same price they were fetching over 15 years ago. To top it off the flight model in each aircraft is different enough so that it becomes a study sim in it's own right. I will buy it and maybe 2 of them just to support the continuing development of this most excellent simulation effort made real by DCS.
