BManx2000 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 In the A-10C, I can't turn off the ILS power switch. Neither right clicking on the switch nor using the keyboard bind works. I noticed this because it is preventing me from completing the landing training mission.
Ramsay Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Confirmed, is there a .lua edit or something that can be done or is it just one of *those* long standing bugs we've come to accept? i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
Rongor Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I confirm those switches can react buggy. But I don't see a real problem at this one, since when you reached a point when it is ok to switch ILS off, you will have managed a successfull landing already and so the lesson that tutorial wants to teach is learnt. Just don't bother with completing it. What matters is whether you understood how to land by ILS.
vctpil Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi, This is not the first bug with the ILS button : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129940&highlight=ILS I hoped it would be solved in the next update, but... Nevyn Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I am also experiencing this problem with the ILS power switch and the pit light switches also seem to be having a problem, they will only turn in one direction now, only noticed it now after the latest update. A cockpit mod would not cause it would it? I mean thats just textures right?
Vulpes Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Same problem here after the latest update. And now I can't perform successful shutdown procedures anymore in the Mapleflag missions ("you missed a checklist item, cadet!"). I'm sure it worked before 1.2.11 and it has nothing to do with a cockpit mod because I don't have one installed.

brasco_uk Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yeah, as a new user this was pretty confusing, I mashed that button hard before giving up. I realise it's not breaking the rest of the sim but it is stopping me being able to finish the training and some missions that require a shutdown. I just saw DCS updated via Steam, anyone know where I can find patch notes?
Bucker23 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 To solve ILS power off problem, one option is to downgrade to the version before the bug was introduced. You can do that using the following instructions: Start Type CMD Open Command Prompt. Type: CD C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\ Type: DCS_updater.exe update 1.2.10.32582 Once ED fixes the bug then the next time you run the updater it will update to the latest version [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vulpes Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Does anybody know already, if this is fixed in today's 1.2.11 update?
FSKRipper Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 ATM not, let's hope the next patch or finally 2.0 will bring salvation :music_whistling: i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
