Newegg Sale - HOTAS Warthog

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up; newegg.com is having a Super Shocker sale on the Thrustmaster 2960720 HOTAS Warthog starting at 1:00 PM PST today(12-30-14).

Sometimes you can get great deals on these Super Shocker deals. If it's a really good deal they sell out pretty quickly.

Thats.like another 3hours for me..

lol

I just bought the stick on ebay, but I.think the seller is.deployed or something as its been.over a week no.shipping aler and they havent responded to my email asking if item shipped.

Already have the throttle :)

As soon as I get the stick my CH gear will prolly goto my brother, so he can start flyin again ( hasnt done it since Janes F-15)

On that note, I've bought significant resources from NewEgg, and they are very good in my book,

Expect lower/mid $300 range.

Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2),

ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9)

3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs

when i click, it says the deal starts at 1pm PST today

That's correct. The Super Shocker sale items go on sale at specific times during the day and usually last until midnight.

Some of the Super Shocker sales are pretty good, lately, some of them have been average. For this item, I would guess somewhere around $350.

I've spent more than $50 at newegg over the years and I would agree that they are a good a place to buy tech stuff.

I've bought so much stuff there they send me newegg T-shirts!

This Warthog is a pretty expensive controller, I would guess this Super Shocker price is going to be about as cheap as it can get. I don't know much about them, I sure can't afford one. If there is a newer model getting ready to come out, the price could be really low because newegg wants to clear out inventory. It's a niche item, for sure, but if the price is good they will probably sell out.

$349.99 after adding to cart.

Not bad, caught mine at that price several years ago. The $416 mentioned above is the usual price on Amazon recently.

Too bad.. A while back Newegg opened up to Dutch customers as well. However unlike e.g. Amazon they don't have their own DC on the European mainland. Which means that even if they allow Dutch customers to buy items off their site, they ship it from the US to the Netherlands which means 100EUR (125USD) shipping+Dutch tax+duty. :(

I bought 3 Warthogs bundled with Saitek Combat Pedals for $385 (for both the HOTAS and pedals) from NewEgg on Black Friday, this is hardly a deal at all compared to that.

You'll get that price one day a year. Newegg throws out deals like that on Black Friday hoping you will do most of your Christmas shopping there. They are offering this deal now hoping there are a few people that have any money left after Christmas.

$350 is not a bad deal when the regular price is $415.

I should hope so, since that doesn't include the throttle. That isn't a bad price for the stick only though.

Hola Chief,

it sure sucks that everyone else switches between Daylight & Standard time, yet we Zonies just maintain (like it should be)...

Got mine second-hand in pristine condition, for SGD 400 (around USD 300). I am happy :smartass:

I still remember what the seller told me when I personally collected the set from his home:"DCS:Warthog looked very interesting, so I bought this to try. But then once airborne, I was totally lost..."
