I was thinking I could practice my take offs using this nice simulator.

I think it would be very realistic.

PS I am going to need the rudder and flight assist boxes checked, (((box with check marks added)))

or I wont be able to take off.

Thank You for help with this endeavor.

I hope it comes with a parachute, as I cant land either...

Damn!!!!!

I wish I was rich.

I think Mr Allen will add this to his collection if he hasn't already got a D9 with a Jumo in one of his hangars.

Who needs a static D-9 when you have an authentic, airworthy D-13? ;)

Website says "Sold", though, I wonder who it's going to, and more importantly, what they plan to do with it?

I did not even know that Static meant it is only for show. WOW, that seems like

an awful lot of money for something that wont even fly.

Thank You all for having a great sense of humor !!!!!

PS When I first saw this, I did not see a "SOLD" thing

so Thank You to whoever bought this for Me.

I would like to donate it to DCS World now, and

have someone make it ready to fly.

( I promise not to try and fly it, although I am happy

to report that after about 100 attempts, I finally

did at 4:00 am take the Dora off for the first time

with no rudder or assists )

With a 650k price tag. I wonder how much extra it would cost to bring her to flying condition?

Given the rarity of the bird and necessity to rebuild most of the airframe from scratch to make it FAA certifiable, You would probably have to multiply that figure by at least two and that's a rather conservative estimation.

I hope nobody does it though, because it seems this example has quite a lot original parts in it. It would be pity to scrap them (neverending conflict between these who want to keep the plane original and these who want to see it flying).

Maybe in 10 yrs or so I could afford it... But then cost to fly her would be ridiculous!!!
