TwoLate Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Loved the stream. Very informative on what to expect. Nice lighting and the visuals are the best of any sim. Loved the demonstration of the Hornets on how the planes look far away. This bodes well for us prop nuts. Also the improvements on Ai. Matt I will forgive you if you release this Alpha version to us A-10 betas now. I promise to be objective and professional to give proper feedback to help with this release. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Python Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Not much new as expected after the initial comment suggesting such, but another enjoyable stream. Really appreciate these! Hope they continue as planned, Sundays reputation for being boring is in danger if so. As for feedback. I don't do twitch usually, is there a higher res option? I'm not sure what these are broadcast in but they don't appear to be full 1080p. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Blech Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 and i wish a youtube replay, twitch is awfully slow :( Hi, Even the video replay is no fun on twitch https://twitchtools.com/video-download Download -> http://www.twitch.tv/wagmatt/b/673478911 3 parts 62 min format : FLV (1280*720) 1,6 GB !!!
Vivoune Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I really enjoyed that stream, thank you! It's great to hear you guys are looking at some new tech to get the mountains and textures at higher resolutions. There's something off with the vegetation (tree, cactus), they look out of place. I'd say they're too saturated and contrasted in comparison to the background so they just pop right up instead of being part of the terrain. But it's great to see it's coming along nicely, things are really shaping up to be good, I'll still spend a lot of time in Georgia for sure but it'll be just so refreshing to fly around Nevada. NeilWillis Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I thought the conifer forest looked a little sparse, and I think they "pop right up" in the video due to the low sun angle, which would naturally make any 3D object stand out more. That aside, I must say I like what I see, and the solution for the distant aircraft visibility is very elegant. I also like the fact that lens artifact effects can be disabled. I look forward to hearing the ATC updates, and any info that you have available regarding multiplayer server support that was hinted at in the past. We have a powerful server, and being able to run two Maps simultaneously on the server might be a huge benefit going forwards. Frankly, I am impressed, and I see DCS 2.0 as a big leap forwards. Oh, and I'm available for testing too :music_whistling: :music_whistling:

Solty Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Can somebody explain how the spoting system works? I wasn't able to see that part. THX The stream was fine, but lacked variety and was a little bit stiff. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies. My experience: Jane's attack squadron, IL2 for couple of years, War Thunder and DCS. My channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyAXX9rAX_Sqdc0IKJuv6dA

THX The stream was fine, but lacked variety and was a little bit stiff. My understanding is when the object becomes only a pixel in size, it will be overlaid with an icon that is a little bigger than the object. As the object gets even farther out, the icon itself grows smaller. There will be 3 settings. OFF - what we have now in DCS World 1.0, NORMAL - a smaller icon, ENLARGED - a bigger icon. 1
Eight Ball Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Found something interesting. What about this ? Find The Links To All My Mods And Liveries Here (in the gallery)
SimFreak Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 My feedback after latest stream; (no spears were left unsharpened) Create a self checklist that lists required items to do steam - example TrackIR program ;) Practice removing "ums" from your vocabulary Volume is still too low Your TrackIR profile is twitchy. (I don't know what to suggest to fix it) All in all, you're performance is much better than previous. I give you a Q1.
