AtaliaA1 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 (edited) My upgrade to 10 is over 8.1 just over a month after new pc build and only a week after installing DCS world and all modules, plus stand alone BS install. Everything went without an issue. Until I went to fly and discovered a problem with X 52. I now am under the impression that it is a Saitek driver problem. Hoping for a fix real soon or may have to dump Saitek and move to another company. I am still able to fly, just cant use some key functions, or kill anything. Anyone having problems with other name brands and W-10. ? 126 Games some on steam of course and no errors in the top dollar games my son plays. So far anyway updates are arriving. This by way of upgrade not a clean install. I would never go through all of the reinstalls without knowing for sure it would be of benefit to me, way to much work for no reason. I have an X52 also, what error are you having? Not a Mapping issue? Edited August 21, 2015 by AtaliaA1 This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. SkateZilla Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Windows 10 blocks some DRM drivers, as well as Virtual Drive Modes (SecureRom etc). However, Ive seen no complaints on Starforce Proactive in Windows 10, the EA, RockStar and Ubi DRM on the other hand are complaints a plenty. Saitek and MadcatZ have ackwoledged issues already iirc. adamski66 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 just installed win 10. everything worked fine - warthog hotas.. 2x lilleput 8"monitors 2x thrustmaster cougar and so on .... then all of a sudden .. the cougars started to flicker.. on and off... couldnt press the start button nor the search . only the rightclick on start worked . i could surf etc and use my program but the flickering of the cougars really interupted most things. tried it all... nada sollution. then out of the blue i changed mouse from a cheap ( anderson) that i plugged in for about 1 hour earlier to the old really crappy one . and voila it went back to normal :-] just dropping this here if anyone else having troubles with flickering TL:DR start reading
Blaze Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 My Cougar MFDs would connect and disconnect constantly for like the first 15 minutes after boot until they stabilized. Turned off power save features and everything, nothing worked. Just got fed up and unplugged them. I rarely use them anymore anyway. EntropySG Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 confirmed, it works like a charm once you disable enhanced power management. I did find and download a little tool which lists all your USB devices and lets you for each particular device right-click -edit in registry. That way you don't have to manually search for them, which is great. I can post a link once I get home [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

The CL forums appear to be awash with users who've had issues after upgrading to windows 10. How did you find things? The Creative drivers issue is pretty much the only thing making me hesitant about upgrading my gaming rig at the moment. The problem is Win10 changing the default sound profile of the PC. I had to change it back to the CL. and 5.1 surround. Other than that no issues. Do not install the WHQL drivers for the sound card. I have the extra control box that comes with the higher end cards and lost the use of it, even for a while unable to boot until I change the sound default, this by way of starting the PC in "Safe Mode" most users aren't familiar with debugging and trouble shooting. I can understand the CL Forum being full of people in crisis. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. Ashilta Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Hmmm... All was going well for me with DCS, but recently something changed and now I'm seeing some odd behaviour... The difficulty is that I started trying to install/configure TouchBuddy the same day I installed new drivers so I'm not sure which caused the problem, however... I have an i7 processor, 8GB RAM and an AMD Radeon R9. Whenever I'm playing DCS, on any graphics setting, I get moments of just... blackouts. The screen that DCS is running on will go entirely black for 2-3 seconds and then go back to as if nothing happened. There is no texture tearing, no graininess, no desynch or anything of that ilk, it simply just goes black. The problem only seems to relate to DCS, as I've just had a bash at EVE Online with everything on 'high' and there was no blacking out. This wasn't a problem for me on Windows 7. Any ideas?! EDIT: So it really, really helps if your DVI cable is plugged in securely.... I've not figured out why only DCS seemed to show the symptoms but this seems to have been the cause! Fakum Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 It is good to know that there are no performance issues that I have read so far, but it is sure hard to understand why I am the only one that has reported about a 5 FPS drop from the upgrade and I did not at the time change drivers. I have updated ATI drivers since, but still the same FPS hit,, weird and annoying! Note - I even had some seriuos problems going back to Win7, Pc would boot up and then crash when windows started, it was something to do with nVidia drivers. I use this Pc for other stuff so i will just leave it as it is. @lange_666 Its seems to be a common problem, i red all about it in the Windows Forums, i think the solution is a fresh install but not comfirmed Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Tempered Glass, Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero, Intel i7 7700K @ 4.8, Corsair HX 1000i, Nzxt Kraken 62, 32gb DDR4 3000Mhz Corsair Dominator Platinum, Nvme SSD Samsung 960 Evo 1Tb, Asus Strix OC 1080ti, Philips 43" 4K Monitor + 2 x Dell 24" U2414H, Warthog HOTAS, Track IR 5, Obutto R3volution, Buttkicker Gamer 2, MFG Crosswind pedals, Occulus Rift CV1, Windows 10 Pro.
