How about we carry things that are realistic like MANPAD teams. Considering we currently deploy and arm full KUB SA-6 (3 launchers 1 Radar) in two separately packed carry units. You can take the total weight of that system and divide it by total amount of (?????) y give about it. Under your realism logic we would not be able to deploy even EWR to the field. Remenber chopper roles are here to fill the transport and logistics aspect in warfare, and since we do not have AN-124 or Globemaster to transport heavy logistics. We are trapped on long range flights at 140knots. back and forth. which sadly leads me to this reclusive understanding. Do you even chopper bra_? Could very well be that this is intended, and I certainly don't mind, being a Mirage/MiG-21 pilot myself, but just want to make sure I'm not getting any unfair advantages. To everyone discussing ammunition for the next "round" - We are working on creating different variants of Blue Flag dynamic campaign, each variant will have different setups, you will probably find yourself relating to a specific setup. So hang in there, if this round is less your cup of tea, the next one probably will be! Is this going to be in addition to Case Blue/Korean Blue Flag variants, meaning there should be 4 versions of the event moving forward if modern and 80's-style BFs are included? Sounds neat. Darkwolf Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 Chopper thing need to be tweaked. I will likely fly the event between Mig and Mi-8, but i will just NOT do anymore of those fuel trips. It was fine when i was not working, but after a full day of work and with only 1 or 2 hour of flight time every few day, i will just enjoy CSAR or capture. Not to mention that it is only a one sided thing : Red airfields are all scattered thru the map, while all blue airfields are packed together, so it's always 40min of flight for us, 5-10min for Blue. We would like very much to add capabilities to CA units, we have before. The main problem remains that moving ground units cause lag AFAIK. This is why we are running tests now, we would like to observe how the server/network handles and with any workaround we might think of, optimize so everyone can have smooth game play (as much as possible). Yeah this is a real bummer, I am hoping the "improved multiplayer with dedicated server support" in the 2016 roadmap addresses this. A combination of the present system, a moving ground supply system and a supply system that Sierra proposed would be really cool, pushing each side into more interdiction and adding more complexity to the campaign, though the present system is really good with the limits placed on DCS by its netcode, if you don't coordinate you have a hard time taking targets. On a side note, but talking about Lag, is there a way to test if a specific module causes Lag? The reason I asked was that yesterday I was flying around Sochi and there were 2 Hueys flying around and both were rubber-banding all over the place. Nobody on the server has a ping higher than 245 (and there was only 12 or so players) and neither of the Huey players were over 150. JD AKA_MattE Edited April 26, 2016 by Jugdriver

(The bunkers?). Move those targets away from the bases. There are fuel storage tanks, railyards, docks etc. scattered across the map. Place the "Bunkers" ( or whatever type of target is appropriate) at those locations creating strategic targets. I want to find Strategic Targets...I need recon flights. I want to limit a bases fuel supply, I can destroy the appropriate refinery OR appropriate railyard. I want to limit ia bases weapons supply, I can destroy its railyard OR warehouses. I want to repair my facilities and reestablish my supply chain...I need helos. This moves the focus of missions away from just attacking and protecting the airbases. I wont tell you how to solve the "fuel empty base where you can spawn" problem the solution is way to advanced and complex... But i can tell you that between tiblisi and vaziani you could spawn the entire server blue. and refuels dont take more than 10min. Fuel is taken out from bases on at spawn. not at refuel. Pro tip*.
