IASGATG Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 The connectivity graph is interesting, but it's impossible to see what the other teams player count was when one team had the majority. Is it possible to have two separate graphs so we can see that too? Also the nominations page isn't working any more.

Coming back to this asap. Nominations link changed due to the transition to the new domain.Fixing it also. ApoNOOB Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) First thing, changelog looks awesome. Could we have some clarification on how the new SAM Networks/Units will work? My hopeful Mi-8-nose smells new chopper tasks, one patriot coming up! :D Secondly I want to just state my opinion on the number of lives&fuel state on spawn in. I understand waiting ~5 minutes for refueling can be frustrating, but please look at this from a coordinated attacker side. Somebody flew 10-15 minutes (talking only CAP here!) to an Airfield, kills multiple defending bandits. Now without the refueling time, these guys can be in the Air so quick and so many times that they can force the attacking side back even while losing every single fight. We had this in the beginnings of the campaign, the situations we had around Mozdok for example, where our attacking force was often repelled by taxi takeoff fighters. :) This basically disappeared with the refueling time and I welcome it. On the matter of Pilot-lives: This is where ultimately two different playstyles meet each other. The one side want's no restriction at all, the other extreme would be happy with only one life. And a hundred opinions inbetween. :D My personal perspective is from somebody that atleast try's to be conservative with his aircraft & lives and plays a lot in one session. I did manage to lose all my 7 'chances' at one point, not all of them due to my fault. (DCS still crashes atleast once or twice a day for me^^) Now I don't really want to argue the numbers, but bring out an (for me) important point: I feel some people here want to use the Life-system to balance enemy numbers by their own kills. For example, if somebody plays for hours, has 20+ kills and 7 deaths, would you say that guy wasted his lives? The system as I understand is to make the plane valuable and stop players from doing stupid & reckless shit. If the numbers get adjusted, may I make the suggestion that the timeframe in which they are counted gets reduced also? Somebody who plays for the whole timerange should not be held to the same standard as somebody who plays only for 1-2 hours and I feel a lot of critics are annoyed by the 2nd group and not the 1st. :) http://www.foinikas.org/ftp/public/DCS_World/Briefings/Buddy%20Spike/SOP%20BLUE%20FLAG%20Round%202.pdf The SOP link doesn't work for me, can you double check? (edit for clarification: Linked from here: http://www.buddyspike.net/blueflag) Disclaimer: Sorry for my engrish, very confusing to me is lives/lifes. :helpsmilie: edit: shameless self plug, vote for Apo!^^ Edited September 29, 2015 by ApoNOOB

JINX_1391 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Chiming back in again. From a new-to-this perspective; I really like the refuel time and limited lives. I had been trying to fly conservative on other servers, like my plane/life mattered. But until OP "Blue Flag" I realized just how reckless I was. I make better choices, access more critically, and engage with a win solution. Refueling allows me to listen to the other pilots, exam my map, and plan my flight while waiting. Through all the debate; for what it is, thank you. IASGATG Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 How is a Blue pilot up for being awarded 'mvp red pilot'. Bit of a mockery. Maybe Jeffery's votes should be switched to Blue.;) The reason Jeffrey was put forwards as Redfor MVP is due to his ability to completely cripple the Bluefor war effort. The player on the server who caused the Bluefor team the most concern, had to strategize around and devote entire fighter wings to resolve, was Jeffrey. Ultimately Jeffrey was the superior thorn in our side, preventing base after base from being captured. Baring this in mind, I think it is fair to keep in contention for Redfor MVP.

Baring this in mind, I think it is fair to keep in contention for Redfor MVP. +1 The requirement to double-task targets to achieve effects and the severe electronic warfare and UHF jamming provided having him in TS were detrimental to BlueFor operations. These, combined with the several thousand pounds worth of wasted ordinance (that can be accounted for and properly attributed), were a huge boost to the RedFor resistance during BlueFor offensive operations.
xcom Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Update: Until 1.5 will be released, we are working to get the other features ready. For example, we have had the server open for more than a week now as a stress test. Statistics data has been collected and worked on to create our next round statistics page layout. This is the initial layout - http://89.163.173.82/DCS/blueflag/Pilots.php You have 4 options - Pilots - See a ladder of the participating pilots, ordered by K/D ratio. Coalition - See macro information about the coalition statistics during the round. Events - Raw even list, you can scroll through the pages and check which events occurred at specific times. Pilot Name - If you want to see statistics information about a certain pilot, start writing his nickname in the input box, the matching names will be shown, select the relevant name and click submit to receive a brief overview. Bear in my, this is still all work in progress. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] BuddySpike Website | Live Map & Statistics BuddySpike Twitch Channel Buddyspike Discord Buddyspike Facebook

Sierra99 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 1.5 Open Beta Fortunately ED announced that they are ready to release 1.5. As we want to assist on the open beta phase our initial thoughs are to move the stress testing there once it's out. Greg I was gonna ask about this but I'm gonna admit to being a little fuzzy on how all this is gonna work... I have both the Standard version of World AND the Beta version of World installed on my computer. Let's say at noon tomorrow they release 1.5 to the masses and the fun begins...where am I gonna see it? Will BOTH be updated to 1.5 or just the Beta version? And which version should I be running for the Blueflag event? Could you consider including successful captures and transports as a sort of "kill", or in other ways reward it? 1 System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
