Works for me. :) Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I got the 2 cards running using your info, unfortunately, the SLI profile seems to provide worse performance than the single gtx980. - With one card going I am getting an average of 125fps with dips to 85 during big action. The one card is running at over 90% on average. - With 2 cards running (using the profile you have shown) I am getting around 120fps with dips below 80fps and the really bad flickering clouds. I can remove the cloud flickering by enabling mirrors "m" but then the fps drops even lower to 80fps as a high and 60fps during big action. Also, it seems the 2 cards are running at about 40% each. Thanks for trying to help though! Cheers :) I7 4790k EVGA 1080ti FTW 16gb Corsair Dominator Acer Predator 2k 165hz Thrustmaster Pedals & Warthog TrackIr5

erick Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Do you have a 120hz monitor? If not theirs no point in running all those frames. I do have only a 60hz monitor and on top of that I always run vsync so its locked at 60 anyway. I only disable it to test performance, etc. My concern is more about overhead and overall performance. I like to make videos with max settings, etc, and at my resolution or even for future vr requirements, I'll take all the overhead I can get. Also, and I promise, not too sound like a gpu snob or anything but I saved up a lot to buy two 980's and I did it so that I never have to see a stutter ...ever!! haha! And so far, when an official SLI profile is available (like with black shark or any other games) these cards have provided me with all the performance I could ask for. With just one card running and seeing the fps creep ever closer to 60, I start to get really edgy! That's only 1 or 2 on screen explosions away from a stutter!! lol Anyway, here's hoping that ED and Nvidia will come out with an official profile soon. Given the awesome performance with 1 card, I can only see an upside if and when that happens! Thanx :) I7 4790k EVGA 1080ti FTW 16gb Corsair Dominator Acer Predator 2k 165hz Thrustmaster Pedals & Warthog TrackIr5

You can ask here on their forum. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/477765/?comment=4708787 But to be honost i think Eagle Dynamics as a known company can achieve alot more and faster then a few customers flying products. I really hope Eagle Dynamics started a conversation with Nvidia to create a profile for EDGE a long time ago. Edited October 28, 2015 by Mainstay
Badger633 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 What exactly is involved in producing a sli profile is it something only nvidia can do at source. I am getting the flashing clouds when in sli but is that due only to sli or is it the clouds themselves is ed not updating them in the future? Have ed not come across the sli issue did they not test this aspect when they are developing 1.5 there does not seem to be an official response to this Am running two 980s sli with G sync F/A-18C Campaigns : The Serpent’s Head / The Serpent’s Head 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5.0Ghz / Gigabyte 2080ti water force extreme / 32 Gb RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 3600 / 2Tb Samsung 970 Evoplus NVMe M.2 / Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas / Thrustmaster Pedals / Valve Index.
Boris Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Eagle dynamics is not a very well known company. Also it's unfortunate that the industry just caters to the big triple A titles and not our unknown flight sims. Well they did make a Black Shark profile, and the user base has surely grown since then... Falco77 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 +1 still hoping ED works with nVidia on the SLI issue/profile. At the very least I hope the issue is taken care of when 1.5 is officially released (no longer beta). Running two GTX 660's myself.

Ultra Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Crossfire is still causing bad stutters for me in hotfix 1.5.1. :( I've tried different profiles and rendering modes.
Ocelottr Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Using the War Thunder SLI bit profile was really really good before hotfix 3, but that update seems to have broken it entirely for me. Could always go back pre-hotfix 3 and enjoy that smoothness, but for now we have to wait until whatever bug is breaking performance. (See game performance for threads on this issue)

I see better performance with one card now, compared to that DX11 profile... argh. And the new NVIDIA Driver that came out in support of Fallout 4 yesterday didn't help, either. :( PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com
SolUniverse Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Is there anyway to get 3 780s working in SLI?
j0nx Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) Seeing the same thing here. Way better performance with one card than two. Both cards show at 99% utilization but frame rates are the same or even a bit worse with 2 cards than they are with one. Lots of microstutter in 3d surround with 2 cards too and with one there is none. Thinking of ditching my 970s for a 980ti. Getting sick of SLI issues... Edit: installed my old 760's and they too show 99% gpu utilization amongst both cards but frame rates are the same with one card in 3d surround or two and terrible hitching only with 2 cards. Mainstay Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Im simply gonna give up on SLI. SLI support seems to be more and more a problem with games today. Look at Fallout 4 for example a triple A title that doesnt even got an SLI profile by Nvidia. Im using SLI at the moment pure because financially i cannot afford a new graphics card but one card simply works all around alot better.
Falco77 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Updated to 1.5.1.47285 and SLI is still a no-go here.
Lt_Maverick Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 SLI Problems in 1.5 I already get decent frames; hopefully 2.0 incorporates better SLI utilization. I have a feeling it will. I really think 1.5 was a pacifier to keep our simulation needs satiated. No doubt in my mind ED will come through. Lt_Maverick Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 SLI Problems in 1.5 I tried several different options today. I started out by turning off NVidia shadowplay and using the in-game FPS monitor. I had everything set to "high." My settings for the benchmark were taking off from Batumi on the default time and weather settings. I looked out of my right side most of the time. As soon as I was airborne I banked right and leveled off headed 060 right over the city and the forest. I jacked the AA all the way up to "16Q" and turned HDR on. I also turned the HDR off and ran AA at 2x. With the HDR off and AA set to "2x" I dipped into the low 30s. With AA maxed out (16Q) and HDR on, I hovered in the 40s and mid 30s. Yes, you read that correctly, my performance was higher with the settings maxed. On takeoff I averaged approx 33 with lower settings, 40 with higher settings. When hovering over the city and continuing on course with heading 060, I actually hit 29 FPS for a second when I was using the low settings. My rig: I73820 16GB DDR3 2X 970 SLI Turning SLI on or off had zero effect on frames. I ran both tests with AA and HDR high and low and the results were identical. _Dredd Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Something very odd occurred last weekend I was testing. I reverted back to 353.06 Nvidia drivers, loaded up 2.0' and both GPU's were running at 90% and higher with AFR2. With vsync off through Vegas I was seeing 60-70 FPS.. Wow I though, must be the drivers .. Then after playing some 1.5, then back to 2.0, GPU's went back to their low 60% usage. Very odd. I need to test this again.. Makes me wonder if the game is overriding and using its own directx dll' sin preference afterwards? And the first time it didn't when I changed drivers. Very odd... Need to test again.
