Thanks for your help

Edit: Can't seem to get it to work. L39_CHROM.dds is right, but the material name in the lua. must be something else, tried a few options with no successes.

Looks like you're modifying the internal pilot textures in the cockpit zip folder. They're 2 different ones.

Materials for external pilot are

{"pilot_L39_01", 0 ,"pilot_L39",true}; -- false if texture in livery folder

{"pilot_L39_01", 2 ,"pilot_L39_spec",true};

{"pilot_L39_01", DECAL ,"empty",true};

and the default pilot texture is pilot_L39.dds in "CoreMods/aircraft/L-39/Textures/L-39_C.zip".

Yes this one is the default = Internal. and these are the files: pilot_L39_FP1 & pilot_L39_FP1.

The one in the livery= only external.

You can't get rid the blue suit unless you modify-repaint the default.

Hello guys,

I need your assistance because I've download many skins from the ED library and impossible to see these skins when I launch my L-39.

For information I my DCS is v1.5.2, please can you give me the good path ?

I've installed my skins here but failed:

C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\L-39\Liveries\L-39C

I've installed my skins here but also failed:

C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Liveries

and I've created one folder named "L-39" here but failed too:

C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\L-39

Please can you explain to me the good method ?

In advance a great thanks, Skull.

C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\L-39\Liveries\L-39C

The above is the correct directory for L-39C. Most other aircraft are in a Liveries folder within the aircraft name within Mods.

What goes in there is a directory (can have any name) that contains the textures and a description.lua. Note that if you're installing a livery designed for JSGME, you'll need to use JSGME to install it (and it should place it in the above directory)

Gospadin,

A great thanks for your answer, in fact it's a mistake from me. Sometime I'm a real noob.

Once again thanks for your assistance +1

Nearing a release I think. Added a new spec to give it more gloss.

What do you think how much time do you need to finish the skin?

Has anyone seen any published Royal Canadian Air Force, or RACF/NATO skins for this bird yet?

I've seen a couple of works-in-progress, but nothing published that I've seen.

Thanks,

I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more skins for the L-39C and ZA.

Yes it's really sad because we have many skins "fictionnals of the M2K, I don't like this kind of skins) and no "real skins" of the L-39 C and ZA.

Maybe it's because one training jet and not a real fighter but it's really sad because for the L-39 is really a great module and I spend many time with this aircraft.

It probably is because it's a trainer. Which is sad. I know the other two trainers were pretty big let-downs for a lot of people and as a result they've written off training aircraft entirely... but the L-39C and L-39ZA are amazing planes and a lot of fun to use. And they're actually effective as trainers, which is fun in it's own way as the other two trainers aren't even useful as trainers (yet, at least).

Hope the L-39 pair get more love soon! I'd love to learn how to skin, perhaps the lack of love it's getting is a good motivating factor :pilotfly:

Yes maybe it's an trainer but for me the best trainer for DCS, I hope that Tucano will also perfect than the L-39.

Since I have the L-39C and ZA I spend all my time with him and it's a real pleasure.

The Hawk and C-101 are realy poor very far behind the L-39...

Bye, Skull.
