Reshade 2.0 SweetFX / FlyMaker Preset - DCS 1.5 Beta

I REALLY love, the last pic show the difference before (left)/after (right) . Just remove this "blurry" filter, adjust black level, add some sharpening, and FXAA through Nvidia Inspector (FXAA with Reshade don't work as well as the one by Nvidia) look much better.

Hi Folks, I've been using SweetFx for years now and generally, when people post screenshots, they will also include their actual preset as a starting point for people looking to emulate what they see.

 

I perfectly well understand that the settings might have different results on different PC's, but I think that's something most people understand going in. Posting screenshots with vague references to what the settings are within the MEDIATOR capable of hundreds of different combinations within each option simply makes no sense to me. These aren't state secrets, after all.

 

I've attached what I've got so far. :)

Unzip and place the DCS 1.5.2 folder into the Presets folder found here:

 

ReShade\PersonalFiles\Presets

Unfortunately the paid campaigns will not start when SweetFX or Mediator is enabled. With SweetFX mod I could just uninstall it with JSME. How do you unenable the Mediator settings so it is not installed?

 

Or has someone figured out how to get the paid campaigns to work with this on?

YoYo, those are some really nice screenshots. I would be nice to have your preset settings from the Mediator folder like Bull posted. It would make a great starting point for us.

Its too bad mediator doesn't work with AMD gpu's but at least dropping the sweetfx files into the bin folder still works. I just reformtted my computer so when I'm done my setting i'll place here as well.

Differences. I use not very agressive colours, but default 1.5 and 2.0 has colours like through

the fog ;D.

Btw.

 

Remember if You use Redshade/Mediator for both sim (1.5 and 2.0) You must create additional profile manually. Mediator sees only the one (first) DCS.exe and 1.5 and 2.0 uses the same named exe file.

 

Go to folder where Redshade is installed, for example: C:\Program Files\ReShade Framework 1.1.0

Create a Folder "DCS2" ReShade\PersonalFiles\Profiles, copy from Your DCS folder Profile.cfg and here put a path for DCS2. It looks like this:

 

ProfileName: DCS <- You will use the same profile for DCs 1.5 and DCS 2.0

ProfileModule: dxgi.dll

ProfilePath:.....your path to DCS 2.0....:\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\bin\DCS.exe <- change it, path for DCS 2.0 here now

ProfileDll:ReShade64.dll

ProfilePreset: DCS

 

Next open Mediator and do normal activation this profile from DCS (1.5) for this new DCS.exe from 2.0.

 

Now You will have Redshade/Mediator in 1.5 and 2.0 in the same time. Regards.

Hey yoyo I love your settings, I got it to work but I'm running on a triple screen so your settings shows a dark circle around the view, so the sides its all black like looking at a tunnel. How do I turn that off? All the other settings is perfect.

Its a vignette. You can turn off here:

 

 

and save a profile.

Has anyone had any success installing ReShade for DCS 1.5/2.0 with the Oculus DK2. I read about install the ReShade dxgi.dll and the Reshade folder in the OVRServer_x64.exe directory (Oculus\Service) but I can't get it to work. It works fine with nonDk2 mode.

I just installed Sweetfx 2.0 via JSMGE (mod downloaded for DCS 1.5 in the user made files download area). Everything works great, the game is really beautifull. However, I have one problem. I bought the Basic flight training campaign, and when I am trying to fly a mission from that campaign with Sweetfx mod activated, the game keeps asking me to activate the mission and abort. No problem when Sweetfx is desctivated.

 

Anyone got this problem as well? Any help or hint would be appreciated.

Know issue, SweetFx won't work with any DLC's campaign.

Yeah, that's really bizarre. I'm guess I'm willing to swap oldschool SweetFX in and out with JSGME, but c'maaaaahn.
