YoYo
... yes it looks worse according me than it was in 1.2.6. Dont know why, but especially power lines, roads (from long distance looks bad & bad) and some kinds of trees. It isn't the new kind of shimmering but Anti-aliasing problems here (here is MSAA). It's a very clear when you fly low and slow (like copters pilots). I checked also DSR option and run DCS 1.5.2 in 4K (normally it helps in some of tittles like FSX/P3D/IL-2 BoS) but here again effects of Anti-aliasing was poor also . What I noticed for better and smooth view (NVidia users), here short manual: 1/ firstly setup up in NVidia Inspector 2x Sparse Grid Supersampling, like here. It helps a lot and here is the Holy Grall for this (with x4 and more I noticed stutter in DCS and the difference is very small). btw. You must create the profile and connect it with dcs.exe (:\DCS World\bin). Link for this tool: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html . More about SGSS(AA): http://naturalviolence.webs.com/nvidia.htm . Picture: http://ipkonfig.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/NI_SWTOR_AA_2xSparseGrid_004.jpg . 2/ shadows on trees. Why I need shadows on trees? Not under, but on trees? I noticed that this kind of the shadow looks strange, flashes and half a tree has shadow, second not (from this side also hasnt) Hmmmm... This shadows on trees take a lot from power of GPU for antialiasing. Delete this. Very big impact with Sparse Grid Supersampling on. After Mustang mod is still ok: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2495081&postcount=7 (thx Mustang like always!). btw. after the 1.5.3 install it here :\DCS World\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\Structures\High\EDM . No shadows on "mountains" trees: 3/ I have also Flat Terrain shadows = On. You can leave it as on, not big impact with Sparse Grid Supersampling and I like it (if You have poor fps You can switch it to off also) Flat Terrain shadows = On 4/ Settings in DSC 1.5 / 2.0. Here for my GPU: For the best performace use: MSAA = 4x Anisotropic = 16x . Now Your DCS 1.5 will have not worse antialising near the terrain than 1.2.6. with 60 stable fps (but I can not guarantee I suggest only ;) ). Direct from DCS 1.5.2 (Redshade+Mediator): Ciao & regards! For Red shade (different subject) check this: https://www.sendspace.com/file/kei06j C:\Program Files\ReShade Framework 1.1.0\ReShade\PersonalFiles\Presets\ .... btw. I noticed only small stutter with Sparse Grid Supersampling "ON" on the "zoom flyby view" (F3+Ctrl zoom in with trees background, low alt) and near the sea (fps jumps from 60 to 47-59 for 0,1 sec) so not a big problem. YoYo
And ... if You set up in NVidia Inspector profile for DCS.exe it will be work with Open Beta 2.0 at sight (the name of exe file is the same so You dont need to create separate profile for DCS 2.0). In DCS 2.0 with Sparse Grid Supersampling on I noticed the stutter near the Nellis and LA (external view, trees in the background). I think the problem is shadows on trees (like I described for 1.5.2 in the first post). I hope, Mustang will do this mod (no shadows on trees/palms), one day, for DCS 2.0 also :) . GregP
Great find, YoYo! I just confirmed that for me, in 1.5OB, using 2x SGSA does indeed look better than without, and it didn't cost me much FPS either.

YoYo
btw. nice effects in DCS 2.0 also with this SGSSx2. Just in over LA strange stutter (on external view only, due trees/shadows on trees I think). Mike77
Thank you for the tips YoYo! Greatly appreciated. I'm going to try them out later today. When you say to delete shadows on trees, do you mean by using Mustang's "no forest tree shadows" mod? I have not installed that yet, but I think it only changes the forest areas not not trees around villages, etc. which is really great. Thanks again! Hello, it removes shadows on the tree exactly. Here You have example of shadow "on tree" in 2.0.1: and here with Mustang mod: http://yoyosims.pl/sites/default/files/Obrazki/dcs2/dcs%201.5_23.jpg . DieHard
Thanks for this thread. My single GTX 680 (4GB ram) card for my dated Alienware desktop did not update to the latest 362.00 in GeForce Experience. I had to force the update manually, here: http://www.geforce.com/drivers I can run on the 2.0.1.50747 Alpha, no problem, now, and keep at 60 fps using the F99th's server. Granted, I do reduce some of the settings. Me, too, I mostly fly the copters using the Nevada map. I plan on updating my video card within the limitation of my motherboard. I have a SSD to install for DCS World and probably will get another one for my Win7 Pro. Edited March 7, 2016 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Stonehouse
FYI new Nvidia Inspector version has split the profile side of things to a separate exe. So you won't find the little tools symbol now on the hardware settings window to launch the profiler and you need to run NvidiaProfileInspector.exe instead to tweak graphics settings. It's in the change log but easy to miss seeing it if you aren't (like I wasn't) paying attention.
