which version did you have prior, 

Pretty sure the latest version did require a user.settings reset as I had massively changed the setup from the prev. version 2.0.

Changelog for 08.15.2024 / 2.0.0.40
- Revision to module scan engine (added Manifest Variable for ST/MT manifests and detection).
- Added launch Modelviewer to right click build menu (allows user to launch MV from a build other than selected build).
- Updated CH-47F datablock. 
- Added Peacekeeper Lebanon datablock. (added Flying Cyking to filters list.)
- Added Mig killer datablock.
- Moved Build Scan function to a separate thread 
    *( Resolves UI lock during scans when DCS Processes end, and when switching builds. )

As usual, zip file added to first post.

Please if you have the problem again, zip and attach or paste log text here,

The issue is related to Drag/Drop, which isnt a function I have coded or enabled for the App, or Invoke/Threading, which I do use.

The only Threading change is moving BuildScan Functions to a separate thread, which removes the lock from the UI after closing DCS etc.

It's Possible you're changing builds during a scan causing an exception?, I'll do some testing in a closed environment to see If I can re-produce.

But I need more info that a screenshot, 
I need to know what settings you have set and what's being done for the error to prompt.

I have not looked at it yet, nor been able to replicate the issue on any of the test benches.

I can summarize that it has to do with threading, but thread settings are global and should effect everyone.

At the moment I have other tasks that are a higher priority, so I can only devote a minimal amount of time to attempting to re-produce.

Hey @SkateZilla nice work, Ive been using your updater utility for a long time, part of DCS for me.

I have a little feedback if you want, is there anyway to add an option so we can update the utility itself without haveing to come here and download a new revision of the utility? Like a popup when an update is avaliable and it install it self of an option anywhere in the utility so we can search and update from inside the utility itself.

It's been discussed previously,

The code for the Auto update was disabled, and the auto updater *( similar style app as DCS_Updater itself), hasnt been updated since,
I've had previous issues with multiple webhost providers, which led to the function being disabled.

I'm currently busy with other projects,

But later this year, if worse comes to worse, I update the code and add the program in zipped form to my own server rack and host it myself.

So Far you're using Slot 1.

In this latest build, under Build Statistics. User Profiles / Saved Games Files > I can see it gives me a "Global Total Size" of  xxx.xGB's and "User Profile Total Size" of xx.xxGB's. But all the other "Modules and Folders" above stay at 0.00GB when I scan/calculate??

You must manually right click a slot and then set the path.

youre supposed to keep it on your desktop or somewhere relatively close by. You're also supposed to point the thing to the correct path by right clicking in the build slots.

Just a quick update, and Apologies if it sounds a bit brash, there are external factors involved at the moment:

- I Am working on adding a few under the hood things to the app. *( to further help w/ tracking issues ).

- I Am also integrating a few things that aren't public yet. *( and Need time to test internally ).

- I Am tracking the Thread issue, narrowed it down to the source and testing work arounds, if they don't yield results I am looking for then I'll revert the thread changes I integrated for the last public build.

- I Have a few projects that are Higher Priority. ( As Stated Before in this thread and other media platforms ).

- I Am also enduring a family medical crisis, which has taken up all free time at the moment, and greatly impacted personal things. *( The external factor mentioned above. )

- There is no need to repeat post on my profile, send me PMs, or Ping / Tag me etc. (whether here or other media platforms), repeatedly asking for updates, this is a hobby/free time project and not under any license or user agreements to which I owe any updates, material or verbal. Updates will be posted when I have updates to give.

I have this error task. Only with MT, if MT is off, DCS starts.

I reinstalled the system and completely DCS.

The surprise was that in the user folder, there is no longer DCS.openbeta, but only DCS

Edit:I will also add that I can run dcs mt without the skatezilla launcher.

You should run a repair from the DCS launcher to fix that. Try again afterwards.

I already tried it.  It didn't help.

I will also add that I can run dcs mt without the skatezilla launcher.

Then you might want to delete the Saved Games/DCS Updater Utility folder. You will have to make another profile unfortunately, but unless Skate or someone else suggests something better thats the only other thing I can suggest. Does DCS launch from their proprietary launcher? I think after this update there will be no more Single Thread, mine reads MultiThreading = N/A.

I did that too. I deleted everything and copied again. I also downloaded an older version (I think 7.21.) and the problem was the same.

what version of DCS are you running? In the Game files it should be right about the Check for Updates button. should be 2.9.7.59263.

Yes, DCS start from their proprietary launcher. I have latest version. Fresh installation. 

it's a mystery

Tomorrow I will try to delete that dcs_mt_manifest.bin file and do the repair again.
