adrianstealth Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 There are small stutters reported in the performance thread - not specific to VR but I'm sure it's more noticeable. But is this with 2.0 or 1.5? MP/SP? I know in one case, the use of some SAMs in MP missions caused stutters. I have both 1.5 & 2.0. but only use 1.5, not sure if it also happens in version 2.0 ill take a look Ps I like the version 1.5 map much better than the Vegas map in v2

j0nx Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 I am still learning how to start the mi8 and relying on the checklist guide and was wondering if there is some kind of checklist inside the VR screen that I can follow? Has anything like this been implemented so I don't have to constantly keep removing the headset to check the paper startup guide? NeilWillis Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Have you tried the kneeboard? I don't know if you can get the pop-up display with VR, but if you can read it in-situ on your thigh within the cockpit, then that might be the way to go. Just do a search for Kneeboard builder to find a very useful app for converting and loading all the pages you need.

Platypus Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 For those of you who are tired of waiting for your Rift, here's how to get in the next couple of days in the USA. Go to nowinstock.net and setup a free account. Configure the service to text you the moment it is in stock at BestBuy, Amazon, etc. (The service polls their inventory once a minute). I found that nearly every day, BestBuy gets a batch. (Unfortunately, the text usually arrives around 12:30 AM PST). Then, rush to your computer and place the order with BestBuy.com. That's it! Thanks goes out to another forum member who mentioned this several weeks ago.

Got my processed email this afternoon and Paypal payed notice. Just awaiting tracking email. Given what I have read, I am expecting Rift Tuesday or Weds next week. I feel kinda funny down below. lol I5 6600K @4.5, Gigabyte GA-Z170XP mobo, GMMAXX GTE Cooler, MSI GTX 1080 ti Gaming X gpu (factory OC), SoundBlaster X-F1 sound card, 16 gig Corsair Vengeance ddr4 ram @ 3200 , 3 ssd hds, EVGA 650 Gold Power supply, Saitek X52 Hotas and rudders, 2 AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro Bass Shakers, Pimax 5K+
perdix1975 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 The ghosting is the result of low frame rates. As Frusheen has said, lowering frame rates are the only thing you can do. But in your case you are at the bottom of the settings, so you have no more to give. At that point your best solution is to look to "other means" of increasing your FPS such as overclocking your CPU and/or GPU, which may have marginal gains at best, or something more invasive such as incorporating your wallet to help with a beefier video card such as a 980ti or 1080. I run all of my settings on low as well with only low cockpit shadows and a few other modest settings, and get ghosting over areas where there are many objects. If you turn on your frame counter and then CTRL+Pause again you will see more data in real time. From there you will see that FPS and Object Count (or whatever it is) have an inverse relationship, so that FPS is high when objects are low. More computing power is the only solution I can identify. Clearly, however, one cannot build a system powerful enough with any hardware available that will run DCS in VR with everything on max and achieve a solid 90fps at all times. I just got an i7 6700k and a 1080. All settings to max and in Oculus it appears to be smooth. How can I check my framerates? i7 6700k, Nvidia 1080 Founder's Edition, Oculus Rift CV1
adrianstealth Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I think its control and pause Or left shift and pause key Please post fps , it should be locked at 89/90 fps
