So decided we should have a little fun. So come up with a good story to why the commander is missing. Here's mine:

 

So I had a big breakfast before the flight and I guess I had too many hash browns. On the the way to the target zone I let out a huge fart. The command looked at me with spooky eyes, opened his door and jumped out.

 

 

And yeah....next update you'll be re-create this by pressing shift-p to cycle through pilot, no pilot, and no pilot and commander. So your welcome.

Update sounds great Roie, nice to have a choice. But mine.....I'm gonna stay well clear of hash browns and baked beans, after all the work you guys put into the pilot models there's no way I'm gonna fart, push him out or anything else, I like him just where he is.....even if his eyes are a little weird :D

And, TBH, it really *is* just the eyes.

 

So for those who want someone on the seat next to them, but not so creepy, maybe sunglasses/visors during the daytime and NVG's during night would solve 90% of the creepiness?

I usually put down his visor before I even start the hell up. If you think he's creepy now, try him out in the oculus rift where you can feel him sitting next to you invading your personal space.

Kind of a good question. Although the answer is no, since the showing of the body is just a graphical thing. But makes me wonder what the weight of the pilots is, since it had to be calculated for the FM.

BTW how do you guys named them ? At the VEAF the commander is Manu and the pilot is Pedro.:D

It's obvious......he spotted a cheesecake. A blind man could see it. He's sitting is some dark, secluded spot on the airbase, gorging himself. He didn't get that body counting calories.

We have some internal names for him, since we know who he's modelled after. But maybe we'll start a contest to give the Commander an official name. I'll see what the Polychop team thinks about it.

 

I personally think it would be cool to have little dolls made of the commander so I can freak out my kids with.
