Ciribob
Okay, thanks! Problem isn't fully solved but it's much much better. If you have examples of it sounding awful, please PM them to me here or on the support discord. To solve completely requires quite a hefty bit of work which i don't have time to start on at the minute unfortunately! For some reason when joining an online server, I am able to connect thru SRS, but after a few moments it disconnects i dont know why...any help? Post your logs here or on Discord. Are you sure it disconnects or is it staying connected by saying "no radio" Either way - try a reinstallation first using the installer and hitting install :) Scripts: Complete Transport And Logistics Deployment - CTLD / CTLD Examples - Lots of example of how to use CTLD CSAR Script - Downed Pilot Rescue / Dedicated Server Script - Automatically launch DCS Multiplayer server at startup Range Scoring Script - Get scores and counts hits on targets for gunnery or bombs / SimpleSlotBlock - Multiplayer dynamic Slot Blocking Script Projects: DCS-SimpleRadio Standalone - DCS Radio Integration for All Aircraft - NO TeamSpeak Required! :) DCS-SimpleRadio Troubleshooting Post / DCS-SimpleRadio Free Support Channel on Discord

It may be it never actually connects - it tries for quite a while before giving up :) Try this one 5.189.162.17:5014 . That ip looks like the Dcs server address and port rather than the SRS one. Are you sure it's correct? It may also be that the server is currently down. Ciribob
So I'm not getting how srs works. Does everyone connect to the same ip? 5.189.162.17?Think of it as similar to teamspeak. The address may be the same as the Dcs server or it may not. Doesn't really matter as long as you're all connected to the same one. I'd post on the 104th thread to ask for the address for it :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk Scripts: Complete Transport And Logistics Deployment - CTLD / CTLD Examples - Lots of example of how to use CTLD CSAR Script - Downed Pilot Rescue / Dedicated Server Script - Automatically launch DCS Multiplayer server at startup Range Scoring Script - Get scores and counts hits on targets for gunnery or bombs / SimpleSlotBlock - Multiplayer dynamic Slot Blocking Script Projects: DCS-SimpleRadio Standalone - DCS Radio Integration for All Aircraft - NO TeamSpeak Required! :) DCS-SimpleRadio Troubleshooting Post / DCS-SimpleRadio Free Support Channel on Discord

Yurgon
Ah so each server has its own IP address both for the server and srs? SRS Server is a standalone server application. Someone who runs a DCS server doesn't necessarily have to run an SRS server. If the 104th run their own SRS server, I'm sure they publish the data in the mission description or on their website. DCS and SRS servers may both run on the same host using different ports, but they can also run on different hosts and thus on different IP addresses. That's why it makes the most sense to check a DCS server's documentation or ask those who run the server for the SRS address.
MRaza
SRS Server is a standalone server application. Someone who runs a DCS server doesn't necessarily have to run an SRS server. If the 104th run their own SRS server, I'm sure they publish the data in the mission description or on their website. MRaza
Two more questions guys: Under settings I see Rx effects, Tx effects, and encryption effects...what do each of these mean? And along the lines of encryption, like, can aircraft on one side hear aircraft on the other if they're on the same channel? And is there anything that needs to be set up to encrypt your voice? In the L-39, everytime I push the intercom button on the throttle the ingame menu opens. Go into controls, push the intercom button, and the keybinding will be highlighted. Unbind it or re-assign it to a different button. At least, I think that's how you do it XD Edited August 22, 2017 by MRaza

I was in the middle of long heli flight, started SRS, GAME CRASH. pleeeease fix this and let it never happen again. Thanks. Happened with 1.3.3.0 It should not happen, but you know, stuff happens. Neither ED nor Ciribob guarantee that their software works flawlessly. Besides, you paid Ciribob exactly how much money to be in a position to demand something from him? So when you started SRS, you had to Alt Tab out of DCS, I assume? My experience with Alt Tabbing out of DCS has been mixed. For the past couple of months it worked okay, but some time ago that alone used to cause crashes. Are you sure the problem lies with SRS? Have you reproduced it? Can you provide a problem description that allows us to reproduce the crash as well? Finally, I forget to launch SRS all the time and I've had 0 DCS crashes related to launching SRS after DCS. Ciribob
How does radio expansion work? I tried to add more radios to the l39c but I still see one in the overlay. Server settings are correct... L-39 is the one of the few that doesnt have expansion radios. If you take a look at the DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua you might be able to add your own by looking at the structure of others. It doesn't have them due to the Intercom system. You'll have to make the change below if you want to add expansion radios so they can be selected :) Is it possible to disable the ingame radio menu when using the intercom? In the L-39, everytime I push the intercom button on the throttle the ingame menu opens. Instead of using the ingame hotkey - just bind a hotkey in SRS (anything on joystick) and it'll work fine. Using the SRS hotkey will mean that the ingame button doesnt get pressed, triggering your F10 menu :) also change this line: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/blob/master/Scripts/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua#L865 to _data.control = 0; 0 means all hotkeys will work for switching radios instead of using in cockpit selector. Let me know if that doesnt work! SRS JUST CRASHED MY GAME ! ! ! This MUST NOT happen! I was in the middle of long heli flight, started SRS, GAME CRASH. pleeeease fix this and let it never happen again. Thanks. Happened with 1.3.3.0 Not the best way to ask for help.... Didnt give DCS version, what you were doing etc :) As others have said, the way SRS interacts with DCS is entirely passive so it would be very unlikely for SRS to crash DCS. If you can't replicate every time then its not a bug I can fix (if its even causes by SRS) and is more likely due to DCS Alt + Tabbing and the state of DCS at that moment in time. Wrench
I'd like to say thanks again Ciribob for the great application. I was wondering, however, if something could be added. I'd like to see if it's possible to add something like a "side channel" that could be enabled server-side, that would allow direct communication. What my group of pilots is doing now is using discord until radios in the A-10C are live, then muting discord. This is sub-optimal because you then have everyone alt-tabbing, and it requires the simultaneous use of two programs to do the same thing. Just a thought, Wrench. Carrier Script.
