I feel the same, looks like the 2.5 is getting ready to be released. End of the year may be November, I don't know.. The F/A-18 I am pretty sure it will be December, 2.5 I guess it will be released before.

very good newsletter but.....

Although we started DCS World with a focus on aircraft modules, we are now adding new maps to the mix. We feel that maps are just as important as the aircraft, and they need to display the same high level of quality and span different time periods to match our aircraft. We are currently working on three maps: Caucasus map for DCS World 2.5, DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range (NTTR) map for its final release state, and the Normandy 1944 map to support our DCS World War II series. As these projects wrap up, we will continue work on the Strait of Hormuz and other maps. We will also continue to improve our maps with new technologies that will further improve their features, looks, and performance.

We expect to release the updated Caucuses map for DCS World 2.5, the final version of the NTTR map, and the Normandy map this year.

We can confirm Hormuz, F/A-18C and carrier modules has move to next year. :/

That was never going to happen this year, I think 2.5 and normandy are closer

Neither carrier nor F-18 are mentioned there. That's all about maps tbh.

Yep this update was about maps only. For example no new info about Spitfire as well.

No Where did they say Carriers would be this year IIRC,

And no where did it say F/A-18C would enter early access with SoH Map.

Pass Wags info.

As mentioned earlier in the year, it’s our hope to release the Hornet into early access by the end of the year. However, that is only a best estimation at the time and many things can alter this. Only a date announced with the start of a pre-purchase should be taken as a date you can bank on. We are quite accurate with such dates.

I think wags and ED team move them to 2017 to a better timeline. ED need complete 2.5, NTTR and WW2 first. On 2017 has more spare time to complete F/A-18C, Hormuz, Carrier modules and release them on as a "complete package". All subject to change.

Please dont read more into nothing than there is. Just because something isnt mentioned doesnt mean its delayed or pushed back. If there is a change they will tell us. Right now, everything is on track.

The only mention was from January this year, but a lot changes in a year, and I'd imagine its a lot of work to get up and working properly. I guess we just wait until we hear more news, perhaps in the next four months, or next year at some point.

"We see 2016 as a big year for aircraft carrier operations as we plan to release both Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier modules"

No. Carriers with land projects not tied.

Looks like Chizh confirmed some thoughts here in another thread. This is good news.

This was brought up a few weeks ago because I had some similar concerns about the F-18C and carrier modules.

What does that mean?

No. Carriers with land projects not tied.
SoH map has no bearing on the timing.

This new content could be very close and we don't even know it. I hope this is the case. :)

No mention of ATC updates.

And without that, Carrier operation is pretty much suicide, really ;)
