dburne Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 New cams (although not sparkly and shiny) fitted, really pleased, gobsmacked at performance improvement. Look forward to feedback from other actual product purchasers with new cams - hoping they see similar improvements! Still waiting on my new cams, they show in New York however I live in Florida and we are about to be hit with this hurricane so I doubt there will be any deliveries here for a few days or so. I am enjoying the stick but really looking forward to changing out both the cams and the springs to make it even better. LeCuvier Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Hey guys anyone know how to get the Brake axis working?? I had the same problem, and I have contacted VIRPIL support to have it fixed. During a Skype session, the engineer took control of my PC via TeamViewer (software is free for personal use, you should install it before the call). He sent me some tools via Skype file transfer, which he then used on my PC to fix the problem. Yeah this thing is about to get very real for us here in about 12 hours or so. I have a feeling will be losing power maybe for a few days. Hopefully before too long things will get back to normal and my cams will arrive and can get to some serious flying once again. WindyTX Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I had the remote fix today as I messed up my Stick with a windows calibration. The engineer told me that the software was gonna be released very soon. The brake lever sure does make the L39 easy to taxy, compared to the button brake. You can have it show your RAW values and then properly callibrate by hand.

LeCuvier Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Use of the Flip Switch? I understand the T-50 is a replica of the T-50 (future Su-57) fighter. And I suppose the original also has this flip switch. Correct? What is this switch used for in the original? To be honest, I had hoped it could be used like a safety cover, but unfortunately there is no switch action when you flip it up. Cyph3r Posted September 12, 2017 Author Posted September 12, 2017 And what is the red Fire button (stage 1 and 2) used for? The real life controls doesn't feature a dual stage main trigger, but it is used to disable AP. ► Website: www.virpil.com // ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/VirPilControls // ► Twitter: https://twitter.com/VirPilControls For support please email support@virpil.com to open a ticket! I "sell" this idea for VKB, add a action when switch (foldable trigger) flip up, so match the "safety action" in DCS Ka-50, Bf 109, Mig-15, Spit. ;) Focus in make "like the real" is not always good, because in games the actions happens in different way. E.g. real pilots don't need press buttons for "zoom FOV" or "center TrackIR". Edited September 12, 2017 by Sokol1_br

dburne Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Well they apparently tried to deliver replacement cams today, unfortunately sent them with " signature required" and I was not home. I know some users reported not being available but the delivery was still made. LeCuvier Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Focus in make "like the real" is not always good, because in games the actions happens in different way. E.g. real pilots don't need press buttons for "zoom FOV" or "center TrackIR". The zooming and centering is necessary because we look at the virtual world through a monitor. Hopefully, in some near future, we can get rid of zooming and centering with advanced VR technology. And anyway, limitations of current visualization technology are not a reason why we should not try to achieve realism where technology does not limit us. And in this case it would have been easily possible. To me this is just a missed opportunity. I was able to get online yesterday evening and authorize re-delivery for hopefully today with the USPS, so hopefully will get them today. I am enjoying the stick very much but am so ready to go with softer springs and softer center cams. Cyph3r Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) I've got some great user photos to share with you guys; first up we've got a great example of some creative implementation of the VPC Desk Mount from one of our Russian users, really shows how versatile these mounts can be! This is a direct mount to an Ikea chair with the TM 16000M: Next up, Wasserfall has modified his MT-50 grip with RUS button labels and realistic button colour scheme - it looks great! What does everyone think of the Russian button labels?? kingpinda Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 The Russian labels are cool! Please implement them in your next revision! In the future I'll be buying a mongoose stick as well and I would love the labels on them even though I don't speak Russian. But I did fly the first dcs module of ka-50 in Russian! (Because that was the only version). On another note, my cams arrived. Gonna do some heavy duty flying this weekend and see if all my problems will be sorted :)
Dudikoff Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 The Russian labels look great and should be engraved on your sticks by default, IMHO :) i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg. WindyTX Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 +1 Cyrillic labels look great, I would have selected the labels if it had been an option.
