Nealius Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Turning on the taxi light, or using the search lights pointed forward, lights up the entire cockpit. Ground ops at night are practically impossible.

Nealius Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 Has the Mi-8 been abandoned to focus on the Hornet? This lighting issue has been on-and-off since the NTTR Open Alpha, and I initially reported this bug back in February. It's been 8 months and there has been zero acknowledgement from ED/Belsimtek.
dudeman17 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 This isn't just a mi8 thing either. In multiplayer (which I play almost exclusively) anytime an aircraft is behind me I have their light on my dash. Doesn't matter what I'm flying. Not only that but in the eagle when the gear goes up the light doesn't turn off so if you fly under anytime the light shines up through the plane. It's super annoying and it's been around since the open alpha 2.0 I've been hoping and waiting for this to be fixed for ever. I hope that eventually we can get something towards acknowledgement of the issue. swatstar98 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Problem about the light rendering, not about this module :P Chinook lover - Rober -
Vitormouraa Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Problem about the light rendering, not about this module :P Not correct. this is up to Belsimtek to fix. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
swatstar98 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Not correct. this is up to Belsimtek to fix. What I meant, its not a bug ONLY for this module. If I right its to nearly all, if not all planes and helicopters in DCS. Chinook lover - Rober -

Yes, this artifact exist's in all helicopters yet to check out planes. Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

metzger Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 Up. Reported all around the forums, issue is for all modules all artificial lights since differed shading release. Not a single word from ED Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
dorianR666 Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 this is still an issue CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: AMD RX 580
nessuno0505 Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Chizh reported It in the openbeta changelog of 5-23-2018: "known issues: external lights (flashlight, taxi light) are visible inside some cockpits". No other words since then. Now I have a question for warbirds pilots: after the recent overhaul Is the issue still present? If It Is solved in the warbirds, this means every module must be reworked to solve the issue so It Will take time (a lot of time!) but Is solvable. If It Is still there in the warbirds too, this means It Is a graphic engine issue, and as It Is not addressed since nearly a year now, maybe It Is very difficult to address and so unsolvable. In this latter case, prepare to wait the same time as huey multicrew. Warbirds owners know the answer. The situation Is either dark grey or pitch Black, and I see no light at the end of the tunnel (but I keep seeing It flashing inside my cockpit).
