krel01 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks for the update. Lots of work to do. I wonder if this can be finished until christmas 2007. Greetings krel01 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EagleEye Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Never played Janes F18 but I`ve heard the ME is great. btw. What about a new feature movie about the KA-50 engine system model, i.e. engine startup until right conditions for start with the helo? MBot Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks for the update Wags, this is simplay great news. I rate your Valhalla campaign for JF-18 as some of the best sim-flying ever, so I certainly hope ( even demand! ) that you will make us some campaigns for BS :)

britgliderpilot Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I think that video exist now, you can find it in the lockon.ru portal Regards The only startup video I know of has the simplified "press one button and both engines start" sequence. It's a bit more complicated than that . . . . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

thereminqblank Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Lol, the one I posted is not the simplified sequence! "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
britgliderpilot Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 No, there's this one: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yEAnF2NYqC8 You might find this hard to believe - but that is a simplified early version of the engine startup ;) AirTito posted a description of the correct, full startup procedure in this thread: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=21419 If you're in a hurry, you can be up and away in the Ka50 in a couple of minutes. Pilotasso Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Is this the "big announcement for jully" announcement? or is it something yet to be told? .
EagleEye Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 No, there's this one: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yEAnF2NYqC8 I know this video. But it`s 1 year old and I think many things changed since at least AirTito is in the Beta Team.:) Would nice to see the new procedure and the blades moving on spool up. Maybe what happens when you do the wrong things while start up.:D I´m in attention to details...;) Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals

Once you know where the switches are, you can flick them a lot faster than he's doing :) Actualy what I've posted is pretty far from the full startup procedure, I just pointed the most essential moments that should be modeled. And yes, like britgliderpilot said, even now the startup procedure being fully accurate takes much less time than in this movie. Of course, for training purpose it can last much longer in case you have to explain what you're doing and what the gauges should indicate. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. Force_Feedback Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 A stupid and IMHO not needed feature that I'm interested about: Is it possible to do an emergency erase of ABRIS data, like after a crash landing. I know, totally unneccessary in a sim, just curious. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
nscode Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Yes. You can simulate it by exploding a firecracker inside your pc :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
RvEYoda Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 We appreciate these updates very much, looks a bit like the dev diary for FO :) S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'

Flyby Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Just think. Clouds of Ka-50s descending on big fat convoys! Coming to a pc near you sometime soon(er rather than later, I hope) :D Flyby out The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.

Coming to a pc near you sometime soon(er rather than later, I hope) :D Flyby out Why would you need that? It's so unrealistic. The Ka-50 has never been meant to operate in big groups. I'll leave the performance issue behind...;) "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. Weta43 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 AirTito - any chance of that startup post in English ? Cheers.
192nd_Erdem Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Why would you need that? It's so unrealistic. The Ka-50 has never been meant to operate in big groups. I'll leave the performance issue behind...;) Now you have angered the great evil and now people won't stop until they made 20 Ka-50's flying in formation :P
Flyby Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 hmmmm..... Why would you need that? It's so unrealistic. The Ka-50 has never been meant to operate in big groups. I'll leave the performance issue behind...;) it could happen! of course I have no idea how the sim will play out online, but isn't it possible that someone might come up with a coop with 20 slots? as for that number being unrealistic, well OK. the idea of "clouds" of BS choppers descending on a convoy is a bit much. I was having a bit of fun with that idea. no need to rain on my litte parade, Tito. ;) Flyby The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
