Great read, always enjoy these detailed posts. Thanks for taking the time to write it up.

Very interesting point you make about the weathering on the paintwork, I think the ED artists do an excellent job of the aircraft skins across the board, and it is good to see that they have captured the realistic look of a plane that spends a lot of time out at sea.

Disappointed to see only a tester is responding instead of someone from ED. The op is clearly offering the team at ED FREE!!! help, which should never be refused or taken as a disrespect. Being "looked into" doesn't mean the same as being "worked on" in the real world, where my real world money came from that went into E#D's real world bank account. A flagship product should garner "flagship" level of support. I'm not a fighter pilot but I do fly GA and gliders and this actual F-18 pilot's impressions match up with my real world understanding of physics. ED told the world the had experts making sure the flight model was correct (to me that means so close as to not notice the small gaps in tolerance. And I know someone will say stop being so hard on ED they do a TON of work. Yeah, they do, but if I did a ton of work for My RL customers and it was incorrect I not only wouldn't be paid for said work, I would be out of business in no time. Considering was ED told us about their experts and the number of issues actual F-18 pilots are finding with the flight model are disturbing. I guess I feel like ED is taking advantage the near monopoly it enjoys in combat sims (to the detriment of it's customers) not that the monopoly part is their fault. One day I'll go to a convention and have a face to face with an actual ed employee, though it probably will accomplish just as much as this post. Fights-on, thanks for taking the time to put out factual info.

Instead of ranting, it might be better for you to do a little research on the aforementioned posters you are talking about...

AFAIK the "only a tester" is a former F-18 pilot himself.

The op is clearly offering the team at ED FREE!!! help, which should never be refused or taken as a disrespect.

Who said they did?

Being "looked into" doesn't mean the same as being "worked on" in the real world..

Yes it does - if they had no intention on working any further on it, then why bother looking into it.

Why don't you take a chill pill - you don't seem to realise that you have bought an "early access" product and not the final release version.

It seems to me that maybe Early Access isnt for you, in Early Access many aspects of the module will go through different phases of change, this can even mean new issues come up. It doesnt mean that anything, including the FM are finalized. ED appreciates the feedback from all people, and takes much of it into account. They do have their own SME's (Subject Matter Experts) Real world Hornet pilots. ED's past work on FMs should speak for itself, and that all issues will get addressed in due time, but again, this is early access, development is fluid. The devs can pop into every thread and comment on the obvious, that DCS: F/A-18C Hornet development is in full swing.

So before we start threatening ED, and making false accusations about their level of support, you might want to remember all this. It takes an informative thread like this, and sends it off EDs radar.

SO try posting in a more constructive matter. This is not up for debate, it is the way it is. This is Early Access, as I stated, its not for everyone.

And one final note...

One day I'll go to a convention and have a face to face with an actual ed employee

I cant stress to you how many warning flags this throws. Please be careful with your wording. Your post comes off way to strong. If you have further issues, please feel free to PM me or one of the other moderators. For now, this thread is closed, I welcome the OP to continue to share his feedback.
