Longer load times in everything. Also after it loads in and the Briefing/fly screen comes up the cockpit doesn't show up and I cant jump in for a good 30 seconds

Connection Issues

Yep. am havining extremely long load times (often 5-10 minutes) when trying to load into singleplayer, and in multiplayer, it will often kick me out of the server when I try to load into a tomcat.

I can load into an 18C just fine, but not a 14.

Long Loading. "Complex" Missions result in hang during Client Selection and then on Mouseaction CTD with Event logged as Application Hang referencing DCS.exe. MP so no-go and SP only for Training currently.

Yes totally agree, the loading times and black screen loading is really bad.

So there are zero indications DCS has been activated once clicking dcs on the desktop, nothing, so

you dont know if its running or CTD

This should be EDs top priority to get the basics correct to even get dcs from desktop to the running programme itself.

Much longer load time in both SP and MP. When the module loads in it loads individual textures one by one so the aircraft kind of builds itself in front of me.

Multiplayer load times are minutes long. Intel i7 8700K, NVIDIA GTX1060 6Gb, 16Gb 2400MHz RAM, ASUS Z-370F MOBO, DCS is installed on a Samsung SSD and Windows installed on a dedicated SSD. An additional HDD for mass storage.

Single player load times are ok, within 30s.

I had to increase my Windows page file to 20Gb - 24Gb to not crash in multiplayer when trying to get in the F-14...it would also completely bamboozle my PC and was forced to hold down the power button. Super bad experience which felt borderline malware.

Hello,

I'm having extended load times, far beyond what I experience with other modules. I am also dealing with in-game crashes and lock ups when I try to exit DCS, requiring me to hard-kill the program in the task manager. I have not tried the multiplayer, so this is just specific to SP.

I appreciate the support. Let me know if there is more information that would be helpful to include here.

I have not really longer load times than before (Mainly only SP so far). But what I see from the last posts: I have 32GB Ram, while many have only 16GB. Otherwise everything is pretty simple, OCed GTX1060 6GB, Xeon QC with HT, Windows 10 on a SSD, the game itself on another 850 Evo SSD...

Only thing I have noticed so far is that when I start, the cockpit isnt fully loaded or the gauges still load for 2-3s while I can already move my head around and do stuff in the cockpit. Nothing world breaking in my opinion.

1000 flights, 1000 crashes - perfect record

Here's my input:

Intel i5 3.6 GHz quad core

16GB RAM

Kingston SSD 250GB

NVIDEA GTX 1060 with 6GB of RAM

2 swap files, a 16GB on my SSD (running out of space there) and a 32GB on a conventional HD.

High settings, AA enforced through the NVIDEA control panel.

No frame drops and no stutters in SP. I have yet to test it in MP. Loading times seam fairly even with F-18. There is black screen during loading, but i've heard that's a DCS thing and not a Tomcat thing.

However, i have two issues:

1. Just after the mission and the plane load, there is a short period (a few seconds) before the TID repeater, VDI and HUD textures load. It's only a 4-5 seconds delay, but it's there.

2. Sometimes (i can't exactly figure out when, as i don't yet have enough flight hours post upgrade and download), DCS crashes during exit to Windows. I have to terminate it via the task manager and once even that didn't work and i had to restart.

Anyone else had this issues?

Modules: FC3, Mirage 2000C, Harrier AV-8B NA, F-5, AJS-37 Viggen, F-14B, F-14A, Combined Arms, F/A-18C, F-16C, MiG-19P, F-86, MiG-15, FW-190A, Spitfire Mk IX, UH-1 Huey, Su-25, P-51PD, Caucasus map, Nevada map, Persian Gulf map, Marianas map, Syria Map, Super Carrier, Sinai map, Mosquito, P-51, AH-64 Apache

Loaded 1 x F-14 Flyng round the Stennis so I can form up, Me on the ground at Sharjah engines running at a dispersal. From selecting FLIGHT, 6.08, to the FLY tag, then total load time 10.44....and my Trackir stalled AAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh!

I also get stutters, little pauses of around 1/2 second only in the Tomcat.. In SP and MP

The hornet is smooth as poss.

But I'm loving it!!!!!

P.S. Gulf tour instant action mission won't even load, or my patience ran out after 5 minutes.

I think I may have found an important tidbit. Looking in my DCS install directory I found a file named F14FMlog.csv that was a whopping 20megabytes large. For a .csv that is huge.

It really isn't! I have a 200MB csv on my desktop for testing csv report importing.

Noticeably longer than other modules - on the other of 8-10 minutes. But it does work fine once the wait is over. The odd stutter loading Jester for the first time and the usual twitching and freezing when weapons are fired, or the radio menu is opened by *anything* but these are normal....

CPU: Corei7-3610-QM

RAM: 8GB, DDR3, 1833mhz (I think)

GPU Nvidia GT650M

HDD: 500GB slab o' spinnan rust

OTOH - we're sort of below minimum spec here so I'm amazed it runs once it is loaded up....

4-5 times longer loading times as in Hornet. Up to 4 Minutes while i have 50 sec in Hornet and all the others. The biggest amount of time is when the "please wait" dialog appears. Here it holds for ages until i see the Mission Briefing.

Also it doesnt quit, have to go over taskmanager. And it stutters all few sec, stopping for 1 sec when flying on Caucasus. Very sluggsh feel...

I was getting very long loading times as well as crashes to desktop. I did a complete reinstall of OB and it seems to have fixed the loading times back to what they were before the f14 update. This maybe just something with my machine but it won't for me. PC specs in my signature

Usually about 7-15 seconds initial loading time depending on whether I have updated graphics drivers.

In-game loading seems about the same with other modules. It helps if I load encyclopedia and view the F-14 model.. makes loading times faster afterwards in mission editor.
