The PLA’s new PL-12 active guided air-to-air missile uses some version of the Agat 9B-124BE active radar seeker, the latest version of which has a 40km target lock-on range, which is very competitive with the U.S. AIM-120 AMRAAM.

That is the AGAT seeker correct? Same as in R-77?

SD-10 is said to utilize the AMR-1 active seeker, a derivative of the Russian Agat 9B-1348E seeker package used in the R-77 series.

In addition, if Janes is to be believed (http://www.janes.com/news/defence/jmr/jmr101201_2_n.shtml), it has dual-mode seeker capability (Active and Passive) with Passive seeker based on the R27P.

During a refuelling test run, the new RAAF KC-30 dropped the probe onto a PoAF F-16:

I have been told before of probes snaping and dropping, this time it didnt clear off.

The f-16 landed with a damaged tail.

Dude! On that picture the tanker actually looks cooler!

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.
