A nice option with moving the drawn cross. In fact, it would be good to have it as a save / load option too (by user) that you can switch between few positions without moving by hand.

But after what happened in F-4E, I am a little bit reserved how it would work in VR.

I Fly, Therefore I Am.

One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you?

Well, this weekend will be 2 weeks from their 2 weeks™ video. If it actually released at the end of this week - this would be iconic. 😃

Also with the rate that Casmo and the other content creators at YouTube have been churning out videos, it has to be soon(tm) 😀

I‘m pretty sure it will drop this week unless ED has to postpone the patch for unrelated reasons. Of course I have no way of actual knowing (apart from believing the „hints and clues“), but I DO (want) believe it! 😁

Hmmm. Is it possible dont have a grass in the floor of the cockpit? It's probably a DCS bug, not the KW bug, when the grass penetrates the hull and is visible in the floor?

This happens with all dcs modules. I believe it will only be resolved if collision physics are added to the grass. The only solution is to put in a FARP. I think I'll buy the Kiowa...

Absolutely not! It has to get fixed.

I wouldn't hold your breath. It's been like it for all modules since grass was a thing and hasn't been addressed yet. I doubt ED is going to fix it now just for the Kiowa. As mentinoed above by ThorB - putting down a FARP is the only real solution in grassy areas that I know of.

It can also be done by placing a trigger to remove grass from the scene where you build the FARP.

It's probably because the Kiowa is simply set low, just above the ground, due to the skids. That's why it's so visible here. Maybe it's worth adding it to the general bugs section for DCS. It looks a bit weird and it's probably worth solving. Im thinking too, its a kind of problem of collision.

The point is; before instagating any improvement, one has to first recognize a problem. With that said, I doubt that this is a high priority with ED (or 3rd party, depends how one wants to fix it). Still, if it's categorized as a shortcoming, a solution will eventually happen.

The question is really whether this should be a general "physical-model-disables-LOD", or individual module adjustment, resting squarely with third-parties.

AFAIK Polychop are not part of ED's Miles Program i.e. AFAIK there is no system in place for ED to distribute money from your previous purchase(s) to a 3rd party.

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/miles_rules/

Note: We won't know for sure until the Kiowa is available for purchase on the ED Store and you get to the Store "checkout" - at which point you may or may not get the option to use your saved up "ED Miles".

Can't use Miles for the Kiowa.

We had such a blast on our 3-ship yesterday. Slowly sneaking up to any kind of enemy through small villages and lofting Apkws for buddy-lasing birds was super rewarding.

Sure there are quiet a few bugs to squish, but we did not encounter anything game-breaking.

I can think of nothing heavier than an airplane
I can think of no greater conglomerate of steel and metal
I can think of nothing less likely to fly
