Colt40Five Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Great to hear that this aircraft will get the AFM treatment, but why the A-10A and not the A-10C? didn't ED do an A-10C sim for the national guard?? Me want MFDs!!! :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team Groove Posted October 15, 2007 ED Team Posted October 15, 2007 Maybe most of the A-10C upgrades are classified. Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Deadman Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Hi Colt lets think for a minute. Ok the new A-10 C has JDAM along with that some of the most up to date avionic packages to go with that. Now the USA is in a open friend ship with the Russian state but does that mean we are really brothers sharing all our secrets ? God I hope not. ED does not have all the classified information on the C model if they do some one should be taken out and shot. But this is all a joke and jusk for a gook LOL:music_whistling::megalol: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Colt40Five Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 Specific things maybe...but I bet they could do a very impressive approximation and still avoid the top secret aspects...And since none of us are real A-10 drivers we won't know that the MFD doesn't display ALL the pages the real one does... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sundowner.pl Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 The MFD's are not the issue, if you search well, you'll find everything that the ones on F-16A/B MLUs and C/D CCIPs are showing, including JDAM and HARM operations. The real top secret data is the one that we really don't give a hoot, the Data Links frequency, its coding, and how often the frequency change etc. You won't even notice those things even if they done it wrong. The only platform its relevant data is still classified are both F-22A and F-35s... and you really don't want them here... unless you want to become a God :smilewink: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If a place needs helicopters, it's probably not worth visiting." - Nick Lappos

Chrono Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I thought most of the A-10C upgrades basically made a slower flying F-16, minus the A-A capability. I'm with Sundowner.pl; 90% of the info ought to be available. But perhaps the A-10A gets us high fidelity A-10 ops "right away", since a lot of that is done in LO:MAC?

GGTharos Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 A-10A is probably one of the Ka-50's worst enemies ... if you take care to actually fly at over 8000'. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Deadman Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Naw thats should be secondary option IMHO A Mirage it's what we need.. ;) https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

ANY fast mover is the KA-50s enemy...it's too slow to live! Maybe that's why they wouldn't allow fast jets in BS?? :smartass: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mnemonic Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 A-10A with AFM is what I dream for, a long time :) BTW, with new forum guys!
Guest Dr. Shocker Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 A-10A with AFM is what I dream for Me2.
Vekkinho Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 A-10C?! Well if it ain't accurately modelled it doesn't belong to DCS...I hope ED will stick to making only accurate aircraft! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Maximus Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 A10C upgrades is classified they don't have any of upgrade information/details. just a logical theory of mine, not directly from ED/DCS. Guest Dr. Shocker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 A10A is just fine with me. I'm not greedy.
Squid_DK Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I'm happy with the A-10A and I'm sure I'll have plenty of things to do untill we get to that point, I will be taking it easy and just enjoy Black Shark, there will be a long time to get used to that after it is published before any other modules will hit the shelves. 159th_Viper Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 As long as it has an Advanced Flight Model I'll be as Happy as a Hog in Swill.......throw in the Monster Cannon and I'll be more than Happy opening a can of Whip-Ass on any Convoy I encounter. Strange - the more one ponders the future of Flight Simulations the more satisfied one becomes......which is a helluva improvement from my thoughts prior to the Announcement of DCS if I have to be perfectly honest. ALDEGA Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 A-10C?! Well if it ain't accurately modelled it doesn't belong to DCS...I hope ED will stick to making only accurate aircraft!Well, ED did model the A-10C for the Air National Guard ... They'd have to actively remove "classified" stuff to make it unrealistic.
Colt40Five Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 Well, ED did model the A-10C for the Air National Guard ... They'd have to actively remove "classified" stuff to make it unrealistic. And I don't see an issue with this...as has been stated earlier in this thread we wouldn't know we were missing anything... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
