Okay, not a bug, but can we have the Tomcat listed as F-14 instead of 'F14'? It does bug my overactive OCD. :helpsmilie:

Thank you for rectifying this glaring oversight which makes the module totally unflyable.

Cheers

I, for one, am serious. Naming conventions are there for a reason.

Problem with doing this, although I do agree with it, is that it will in essence kill every mod made for the Tomcat and using mod managers until each mod is updated individually.

You don't really have OCD unless you call it CDO icon_exclaim.gif

But "F14" triggers it a lot. Also, have you been taking a seat in the RIO pit yet wanting to push down that broken bit of glare shield coating just in front of you? twilightsmile.png

Fully agree with this - professionalism after all.

And while we're at it, if we could teach every person on the planet the difference between the words 'HANGAR' and 'HANGER', 'ORDNANCE' and 'ORDINANCE', it will probably stop me going postal...

Guys, you are talking about the nomenclature of our folders, not even how it is called in game. Sorry, but this is something we will not spend time on. And then to change all possible mentions in code and file paths etc etc? That's not professional, sorry, that is a waste of ressources. What and how we do name things in code and around it, should not concern you at all, either. Suffice to say, it is not done for grammatical correctness.

If you find typos in the game however, by all means please let us know, as it is a must to rectify these. Correct language is very important, after all. But that is something different.

No bug, and thread closed. Let's move on please. :)

Edit: We do agree however that it was a slight oversight to not keep the folder naming in line with all other module's folders. Let's call it an "oopsie" which is a bit too late to change now. We hope you'll forgive us, hehe.

EDIT2: My apologies, I thought you were talking about the folder structure. Thank you for standing up against my thickheaded response and clarifying. This is ofc a bug and needs to be fixed.

As a clarification he means the icon that shows up when you select missions/IA/campaign in the SP GUI. (thanks draconus)

Actually the icon (demo mods they are called afair) at the bottom of the main DCS menu is fine ("F-14B"). It's the name "F14" when you select missions/IA/campaign that is wrong.

Thanks. You're right. We already fixed it internally btw.

Thank you! Sorry for not being more clear the first time around.

I know it's only a little thing, but it made the Tomcat look a little unloved every time I opened the missions screens. Hated to see it that way.

Much appreciated, cheers.
