Greetings Devs :)

I have just wondered if you guys have thought about integrating TeamSpeak 3 into DCS - as your VoIP solution.

TeamSpeak 3 and its SDK is currently in development (being built entirely from scratch). TS3 features and SDK sounds very promising to game developers:

Wouldn't it be great to operate on board radio to talk with buddies using different channels/freq. - or even taunt enemy on public frequencies ;)

Well, I have always thought that the radio option would be sweet. It might even be cool if we could pick up some music or something, or have a podcast or something that automatically downloads into DCS. Flying at the same time!

it's in their. you have a folder that you can add your own music to. And tune it in on the local raido station.

Are you saying that this is in BS, and if so, how do you know? Or in other words, what and/or whom is the source? Cause that just sounds friggin amazing.

More, you can destroy broadcast station tower to stop music.

Personally I think it would be better if you could land next to the station, run in, and change the music.

Besides, I swear TS3 has been in development longer than BS. I was in HIGH SCHOOL when they said they were working on TS3, and my FPS gaming clan was all excited that they were finally updating it... 4 years later here we are.

VoIP is definitely a feature on ED's wishlist for DCS, though not for Black Shark. I don't know if they will go with a third-party software provider or develop it in-house, but I suspect the former, although probably not TS3. That is speculation though, so take it with a grain of salt.

/\/\ I can vouch for that. I read it somewhere on these forums too.

thanks for the backup. I read it on the DCS main page. I for get where the indetail info was at.

Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) ARK-22

The ADF provides navigation using NDB (non directional beacon) or broadcasting radio stations. It can also monitor ground radio stations in the MW band.

I will put some pieces of Metal music on Station 1 and some Classical music on Station 2 and some Folk music on Station 3..........And a location girl tells me that she wants to hear some music by Keren Ann. Then I fly my Shark to a radio station nearby and find the radio boy and say "Hey, pumpkin, do you have any album by Keren Ann?" He said "no". Then I put a Keren Ann album and tell the radio boy "play it until you die". When I return to the girl, her mommy said she wanted to hear some Tchaikovsky........

just a funniless joke........

How 'bout being able to dispatch a EW platform and jam the frequency...or over ride

with counter-propoganda?

voice integration has never been fully succesfull in a sim, leave it out please,, as it just makes bloatware..

I agree, it's time to make it successful and let us use those radios for real :phone:

I'd actually like to hear even distorted and noisy audio-signal typical to AM/FM radios used in many strange enviroments (especially in EW theatre, storm, mountains etc.) - this could be achieved with some dynamic audio filters.

I believe TS3 SDK has a lot to offer and ED should start considering integrating this VOIP tech or any other into their sim and make onboard radio equipment simulated and usable in multiplayer scenarios in realistic way.
