GunSlingerAUS Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) I've noticed in the latest patch two issues with the AoA indexer: 1.) It's so dim that it's impossible to read. I think this might be related to the overall screwiness of internal lights? 2.) After turning on the cockpit floodlight, the three AoA light panels turn totally white, depending on which ones are active. They're totally unreadable when this happens too. bonesvf103 Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 I know the patch from last week caused worse problems for lighting in general, however, even before that patch, the AOA indexer was really dim. Ever since the start. Can anything be done to brighten it up even more? Thanks! v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. eatthis Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 what do you mean by aoa indexer? the steam gauge on the left? 7700k @5ghz, 32gb 3200mhz ram, 2080ti, nvme drives, valve index vr
Pyker Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 And if Heatblur could fix the key bindings for the wheel that controls the AOA indexer brightness, that would be cool too (or did they fix it since the last time I tried?) See first post in https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235229
GunSlingerAUS Posted June 14, 2020 Author Posted June 14, 2020 Any update on this? Still borked on my end as of latest hotfix. bonesvf103 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Just so you know, the ebracket is ratchety and inaccurate, even real Tomcat pilots don't even use it. v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day. Falby Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Some pilots turned the HUD off and just use the AoA indexer.
GunSlingerAUS Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 While we wait for a fix, the DCS AoA indexer app is free on the Google Play store, and works brilliantly. Pyker Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 (edited) Glad it works again. :-) Except that the key binds for instruments and console wheels don't work properly anymore (and the key binds of the indexer wheel still don't work at all). Edit: I've just seen that the console/instruments bug is being tracked. Please add the indexer wheel bug to it. Edited June 18, 2020 by Pyker

Pyker Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 (edited) It is mentioned in the first post in https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235229 I assigned key binds to indexer cw (ralt r) and ccw (rshift r) in the controls settings, but when I use them in game, the wheel that controls the indexer brightness does not move. It moves only when I click on it. I experience something similar with the instruments and console wheels. When I use key binds, they won't move past a certain setting. I have to click on them to move them all the way. In 2.5.5 these two wheels work fine. In 2.5.6 OB (updated today) that's three wheels that don't work (The ACM wheel works fine. I haven't rried the fifth wheel in 2.5.6 OB yet). Thanks in advance. Edited June 18, 2020 by Pyker
