paco2002 Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Hello all, I have issues with my performance in DCS World; My game works better if I select other window my FPS boost up till 45, but when I select DCS World screen, my game goes down to 30 ish FPS, and they are not Stable at all, it may be jumping from 32 to 38 till 29 and after that to 42 and back to 31 again. It is literally impossible to play DCS without selecting other screen, but, of course, if I select other screen I could not use DCS...
hazzer Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 I have noticed this before. RTX 2080ti, I7 9700k, 32gb ram, SSD, Samsung Odyssey VR, MSFFB2, T-50 Throttle, Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals

Flappie Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Recently, someone has had the same kind of issue. Initially, he was blaming his track ir. Then he saw the game was doing fine whenever the Windows game bar was active. In the end, he found out that an other program was interfering with DCS. Alas, he doesn't know which program it was. Could you please try starting your PC in safe mode then try DCS in VR and see if that's any better? ---

Flappie Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Someone had this behavior not so long ago: whenever he'd activate the Windows game bar, the game would instantly be very smooth. His issue was caused by an external process, but he never knew which one (he uninstalled a bunch of software and BOOM, problem fixed! That is why I've asked you, Paco, to try launching the game in Windows safe mode. Have you? ---
nrosko Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Is this something to do with the mouse cursor? I noticed once that simply moving my mouse in game interfered with performance. Win 10 64//4.5g i7 Kaby Lake//gtx Titan x pascal//16gb 3200ram//Asus Maximux Hero IX//Oculus Rift//
Taz1004 Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 This exact thing happened to me few days ago. I would get crazy stutter in VR then if I do alt+tab, then it gets smooth. But as the OP said, the DCS is out of focus. What fixed it for me was Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows Graphics settings. Are you using a specific Logitech/Razer/whatever software with your mouse? Try to cut it off when you're playing. Also, try lowering the hardware sensibility of your mouse. ---
