A great plane, a great visual. Thank you for the effort you put in each update.
The new version doesn't include a flight modeling update, does it?

thank you for your support, with great pleasure, you right last update there was no changes on FM, TEAM work hard to improve and master the EFM code and numbers to offer better experience and this take time, since we all work on free time 🙂

It would be great if there were some docs about MFD. Also pilot's model looks glossy and reminds me of rubber or smth... Otherwise i love your mod and I see it got such a big progress since I first time played it 🙂

AG= Air to Ground based on  Su25T

AA = Air to Air based on Su33

Due to DCS modding limitation we can't build multirole so we use 2 variants to simulate Su30 capabilities

For sure we'll  have such as doc in future, for now it's beta and subjected to changes any time, still learning and discovering DCS modding sutff to try to simulate the best we can real Su30 feature for better experience and free bug MOD. Apologies about 3D we just have things for free in free time, you any one have better models he is welcome to provide them to as and we'll be happy to use them, like the MOD original author did.

Hello, New update (2.7.72b) and more important, a dlc that brings A2A and A2G functions to the SU-30, eliminating the need to select a specific version in the mission editor. So we have a multi-role SU-30. available on the discord.

Yes! Now we have a real russian multirole aircraft. How did the devs get this working??? It was formerly known to be impossible!

You have to download the latest version of the SU-30 mod AND the CWS 1.8 zip file both available under download section on the Discord server.

Unpack the CWS 1.8 and overwrite.

Well, I am not critising the mod, it is a great one and I have been following it for quite some time. However, I would like to point out some issues I encounter:

  1. The initial "seating" position, at least in VR, is way too much to the front. I move the position using RSHFT+RCTRL+/ to move behind but still, by looking back, there is still some noticeable space between the seat back and the view. I have to lean back further to make it feel more in the cockpit.
  2. The animation of the stick could return to centre automatically even when the stick is not. It also shows ghostly image when moving to the right.
  3. May be this is an operation error, when R-77-1 is used, I can only selected one target in TWS mode, and there was no LA even when the range is reached. I check that the radar is on and it is in A/A mode. I will try other AAM.
  4. Not repeating the HMD mode, actually the longitude mode also has this problem.
  5. There is not sunglasses.
  6. Binding the lowering landing gear key does nothing, raising landing gear does not just raising the landing gear, but it is toggling between lowering and raising gear.
  7. I am not sure how to turn on vector thrusting here, I try to bind it onto a key on the throttle, does nothing, tries S key, does not work neither.

Note that V2.7.72b  and CWS version 1.8 are installed.

Hi There

seems there's a compatibility issue with V2.7.72b and the new F-4E module from Heatblur. When you spawn any carrier in the game, you can see the carrier in the mission page, however as soon as you launch the mission, the carrier disappears together with any plane on it, from both game and F10 map. This happens only if V2.7.72b and the F4-E are installed, no other mod has the same issue. Did you already noticed this?

  • New Engine behavior. Thrust has been adjusted as well as fuel consumption. Turbine cooling is enabled based on the position of the throttle
  • Long awaited revamp of Sideslip force for EFM. Plane will now behave more realistically in bank
  • Reworked nozzle open close behavior. It is now more akin to real life
  • Added R-37M Hypersonic Air-to-Air missile to Su-30SM
  • Updated textures for some weapons

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed CTD due to recent DCS update
  • Fixed Ships/Ground unit disappearing
  • Fixed some AG Pylons incorrect position

Thanks for fixing a great mod. However, the missiles R-73M, R-73L and RVV-MD for dog fight are still performing abnormally. Only native R-73 one is aimed well.

@freebirddz Thanks for your efforts on improving the Su-30 mod especially for cutting down the long tails. I made an airshow display video comparing the Su-30 mod with real world airshow manoeuvres. It feels very believable overall. Perhaps a little bit overpowered and with a lack of yaw authority with TVC on. The nose feels a bit lethargic in terms of flight path changes when inputting small corrections off-centre in pitch. Just some constructive criticisms there. 

Also, do you have any plans to improve the cockpit model a little bit? Especially the IRST dome from the inside? And also you can see gaps in the external skin when looking from inside the cockpit if you move your head left or right off-centre. Would be nice to get that sorted.

There's also some 3D model issues still - the tail fins should extend beyond the flaperons at the bottom and the tail boom and canards could do with some slight tweaking in terms of geometry. 

Either way this mod has come a super long way compared to what it was before! Thanks for all your efforts!
