I know that HD texture and photo-realistic textures are not part of DCS plans today, but maybe other independant companies will see a benefit in creating such an add-on one day? What do you think? We could have REX for FC2 already since FC2 has been out for quite some time. And then later on REX for DCS-A-10C.Well it doesn't have to be "REX"..It could be any other add-on that offers High quality ground textures, clouds, weather system?, ground objects and air traffic.. Raz_Specter Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 (edited) i guess the reason why they don’t allow save is more about realism and to stop people just saving near the hard points, if they fail reloading. IMHO this is a study sim and should be treated as such, real pilots don’t get a save button out on a real sortie so why should we. I also think not having a save function will increase the longevity of the sim and missions also giving you a better sense of achievement when you've completed a mission after a couple of hours in the chair. I am as guilty as most when playing other games that have a save function “save here and if i die i can restart really quickly”. In the end it reduces the longevity of the game If i need to leave the KB when flying a mission I just hit pause and leave the machine on until i return. Some drawbacks to that, but it is a workaround for now - load mission separately, play as far as you get, and next time use the replay to resume.
