Please improve TOWER/AI/PLAYER airbase's traffic pattern logic, interaction, and comms:

- any chopper on final (for instance, when stabilized inbound within 5 km) must have priority over any chopper ready for take off on taxiway. The latter must hold (at taxiway hold position) until chopper on final safely landed.

At present day, although player's chooper is on final (some times, on short final), AI chopper takes position on RW and executes take off.

- AI chopper on final, behind player's chopper on final, must be redirect to a waiting pattern (or order go around) until player's chopper safely landed. At present day, AI chopper continues its landing and some times crashes on payer's chopper.

- comms between TOWER and AI choppers must be present for reality, better involvement and situation awareness. Provide chance to set TW/AI audio comms YES / NOT.

Minimum comms must contain: XXX ready to taxy, XXX ready for take off, XXX airborne, XXX downwind, XXX final, XXX runway vacated.

Please improve FARP/AI/PLAYER traffic pattern logic, interaction, and comms:

- as above.

Please add new waypoint purpose for AI chopper:

- add "inflight hold position" (until trigger or until time espired).

- add "inflight deploy troop". Before this waypoint, AI chopper will descent at suitable altitude (1 meter), reducing meantime airspeed, and hover for few seconds on waypoint (until trigger or until time espired), then it will increase airspeed and altitude to take again its flight plan. In this way will be possible add a trigger and activate ground troop at exact point. To avoid problems, permit to add this waypoint only on flat terrain (as for place FARP)

- add "inflight extract troop". As above.

Please, add a new trigger size:

- add rectangular size (providing chance to set width and length).

Thanks in advance. Best regards.

Sugestion(s) to ED for future DCS modules feature

I had a thought which I think would not be hard to implement as it's been done already in DCS, and this is to have for aircraft 3D models have wings that bend when exposed to G. Currently in DCS Black Shark we already have rotor blades have their individual FM and they bend depending on how much lift they generate (or if there is wing making then move when stationary)... Beside high detail 3D models, very well modeled systems and avionics, advanced flight model and ground handling and 6DoF with TrackIR, I feel the only thing missing is actually having airframe that behaves like real one.

Even when taxing wings of F-16, F-18 etc bend quite a bit especially with weapons on... so if ED team can do this I think it would be great new addition (and first ever) to flight sims.

PC specs:

Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Agreed, it would be a really nice touch on top of the already stunning attention to detail in DCS: BS :). I expect that the A-10's wings would bend a fair bit with heavy payloads under high G's, it would be really funky to see that in game.

I agree that it would indeed be great, but be aware of the following.

Currently there are a lot of people whit "fps issues" this is not because the sim

is graphically highly demanding but do the the real time physics being calculated to let the BS fly as accurate as it does.

To let the wings bend under various kinds of load similar calculations have to be made by the CPU causing an even further descent in FPS.

So unless multicore processors and 64bits implementation come at the same time, i am afraid that the decrease in performance would be to

great to be able to add such a need feature as bending wings.

This is probably also the reason that it has not yet been seen in any other flight simulator.

But yes, it would indeed be a great feature to have.

+1. Watching vids of various planes from in front of the pilot, you often see the wings bend under G. Another good one would be to have the target box in the HUD not track so perfectly. In RL HUD video, the tracking box jumps around slightly as it tracks.

Falcon, the type of calculation mentioned is already in DCS:BS. View the behaviour of your rotor blades in flight.

So if this is implemented in DCS:A10C for the wings it would not be a further load on the CPU, it would be keeping a function that's already in there. However, there is of course the judgement call on whether this is "necessary" on a fixed wing aircraft. On the Ka-50 it is since it has a serious impact on the flight envelope, but of course it might be warranted to "skip" that bit on the A10 since it's impact on fidelity of simulation isn't as important. (If you have rotor disc intersection issues with the A10 I'll start handing out awards. :P )

Still, it is one of those things that I love. Whenever I fly with an airline I always grab a seat at the wings if it's possible just to see that, and when flying IRL I love it when I can see my wings flex. It's reassuring. :)

I know Etherean i know.

What i ment is that if you would use this feature on all aircraft in game the cpu load would become to high.

And whit all i mean both player controlled as AI controlled aircraft.

Sorry for not making the above clear in my previous post.

Right now there are what... 10 blades on the Ka-50 that already suport G loading/bending... for supersonic fighter aircraft with thin(ner) wings they are very cleary visible bending under G... and I would use less processing because there are only 2 wings to calculate compared to 10 blades of the Ka-50.

Sure, the A-10 wings bend also but to much leser extend.. the wing is much thicker and is more rigid... for F-16, F-18, F-14 wings are much thinner and they bend more (they have to be flexible or the material would be deformed past the elastticity point and cause material fatigue and breakage)

Maybe it would be possible (what isn't these days) to code this feature for your own aircraft and to be visible from cockpit only as you don't notice this much by looking at aircraft from distance.

After whatching the "Joint Fires" TBS video (http://www.thebattlesim.com/index.php?end_pos=133&scr=products&lang=en).

- An interactive commander mode in multiplayer able to use the map to call in actions

- Context sensitive actions on the map for the commander ala BF2 / Project Reality command, or Natural Selection

Be that directing friendly human units , and helping to co-ordinate ground and air attacks ...

Though not a strictly "realistic" role, think of it as a combined jtac / awacs / GCI in a single person, with a "god eye" (well..restricted to what is visible over friendly datalink).

...just a thought..I'm sure I'm not the first to ask for it...it could certainly spice up DCS and Lockon2.0 multiplayer

Please, add new triggers rule:

- add rule "country in zone". This will be very usefull when severals units can appear (one or another, or more) in any triggered zone, due to randomized method. To avoid to "trigger" each of these possible units (so to activate related action) it's better set "country in zone"; so, any randomized unit, that will appear in the zone, will activate the action. More easy.

- add rule "country ouside zone". (see above).

Please, improve weather tool. Add chance to obtain a simplified dynamic weather. Really don't need great changes:

- add possibility to select dinamyc weather Y or N;

if player select Y, then:

- add a percentage of variability (reasonable could be 30% of weather at mission start) in temperature, clouds cover, wind, turbolence, and fog, during the mission time.

Player could select for incoming good or bad weather, and variability speed (quick or slow).

Thanks in advance. Best regards.

I would also like to see flashing nav lights in all aircraft.. erm.... this I mean for FC 2.0 :)

Please add a new triggers

group in zone & group outside zone

because the current ones you have to select a single unit and that unit could be killed renderig the trigger useless if it is intended that if that group is in the zone then the trigger is activated

My most desired feature, and one that I dont think must be to difficult to achieve because all de hard work is already done:

Standalone ABRIS and SHKVAL that works on a networked PC.

Thats all :-)

I would even pay for that.

There is one thing I'd like to see in the future. Standalone editor for terrain creation. Modeling whole theatre in 3d is a masochists dream ;)

Dear Santa Claus !

Please when I start by night one mission... I spend 5 mins or more doing click to the batteries (well, trying it!)... Could put some light posts along the airfields, to have some ilumination at night?

.. And, i would like to have some more triggers... or more kinds of them!

Thnks in advantage

hi

will be MI8 flyable in future in BS DCS ???

will be possible to add own country terrain in BS DCS ???

i am MI8 real pilot and i am disappointed how is bad and with small detail MI8 model in game is :(

other helicopters have very detailed models :)

i thinks MI8 is HISTORY helicopter and platform for all others helicopter who come out in this time and he must have good place in game :) who learn to fly MI8 he can fly ANYTHING!!!

I hopes i will fly in future MI8 in BS DCS because for now this is the most realistic helicopter sim EVER and we can pratice a lot of things here :)

if you need help about MI8 spec and how it fly just ask i am here to help too :)

THANKS for this SIM

Please, add new triggers rule:

- add rules "country damaged", "country alive", " country dead. This will be very usefull when severals units or groups can appear (one or another, or more) in any triggered zone, due to randomized method. To avoid to "trigger" each of these possible units or groups (so to activate related action) it's better set "country damaged/alive/dead"; so, any randomized unit/group, that will appear in the zone, will activate the action. More easy.

- improve ground vehicles/troops AI displacement, and

- add new command " random displacement and range " at route type options.

For instance, selecting "random displacement" at last waypoint route of ground vehicles/troops, reaching it they will randomly displace themselves (according to environment; rivers, buildings, and so) and within a pre-arranged range (by the mission designer, in meters or km). Suitable use of random ground forces composition (trigger) with this new command (random displacement and range) and improved AI, will bring chance to fly really unpredictable missions, or to repeat same mission several times maintaining high concern.

thanks in advance.

This is already possible.

I think that there was a post about a new Mi-8 model being made, just don't know when it will be incorporated.

Didn't know quite which forum to post this in. If you're coming up with another patch, could you add the following?

Make the "+" designating clickable cockpit disappear if not used for 5 seconds.

I've had other flight sims that would do this, the "+" appears when you go to click a cockpit switch, then disappears. Just annoying to fly around with a "+" pasted on the screen.:)
