Boberro Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Please separate texture settings from Cockpit and scenery. To have possibility to set scenery at low and cockpit for high as an example :) Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Dimebag1 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I haven't even played the beta dcs a10c, but in jtac videos the voice comms sound a bit too unrealistic. Each word sounds a bit too much like it was recorded on it's own. How about in the future for non scripted voice comms, using some kind of text to speech narrator system? You can get pretty good ones. Either that or somehow improve the quality of the comms somehow so it sounds like one sentence rather than single words. Just don't use that weird nerdy one that Stephen hawkins uses. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Bubb Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Just look down and woop! You see the pilot! :music_whistling:
MrYenko Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 If you noticed, the rudder pedals aren't animated yet, either. I suspect they'll implement in a future beta, or at release.
Rockeyes Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 An option to see a pilot is what I would like to see, with the option to remove the control column. For me both are nice to see when giving a demo but other than that often get in the way:pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] HTC Vive Windows 10 Maximus VIII Hero i7-6700k CPU @ 4.2GHz 16GB Nvida GeForce GTX 1080. PourLeMerite Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 DSC made a pilot for the superb KA50- Blackshark Heli Sim by pressing Rshft P so I should imagine they will do the same for the A10. Soon after modders came out with different camo garb for the Pilot too. Lots yet to look forward to. There are old pilots, there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots.

If you know of any that aren't insanely expensive and actually permit this kind of use, I'd love to hear. Last time I went looking for voice synthesis they all either sounded terrible, had massive price tags, and/or had conditions limiting their use to things like automated telephony and public address systems.

How about a tool that allows us to record our own voices against the script of required phrases, and then upload them to the files section for inclusion in future patches or download as wanted. Rather than having 4-6 voices for an A/C type you would get thousands, which could then be speech to text checked to make sure they were saying the right phrases, and community rated to determine whats worth having. It would give a tremendous variety in game voices, and its hardly something that needs professional voice actors. The reason I ask is currently to switch the device I must exit the game and use the control panel to set the sound device… However, it would be a lot easier to set it in game.. i.e. switch between the Soundcard or USB headset Cheers [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System: Windows 10 (64 bit) 64 GB Memory CPU i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz GTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition HTC VIVE
Slayer Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Suggestion: Helmet sun visor I know the sim is on feature freeze so I'm posting here instead of beta forum. The new sun effects are really good. Very realistic. I would like to have a sun visor simulated sort of like the NVG effect except instead of green just make it a transparent darker color like on a real helmet. There has been a few times flying a route etc where is would be nice to have this. We have it in DCS:Blackshark although it isn't very well documented there is a transparent window shade you can flip up. It will finally get use if they decide to bring DCS:BS up to the new graphics engine.
