SA Map page unreadable in VR.

Is it by design that the map page be unreadable?    The "solution'" that I've seen people reply with is to turn off the map.  Yeah, you can fix anything if you just avoid using it.

Hi,

 

this is not a issue with the hornet, usually it relates to the resolution of the headset and your settings. 

 

I use the reverb G2 for example and dont have any issues.

I am never able to read the SA map really well on my Rift S but not because of resolution. But because of brightness. The colored map is a light bulb even at day time. I have to lower the brightness of MFD in order to read the map, but that way I cannot get a good contrast between map itself and other symbiology such as data link icons.

The readability of SA map is really poor in VR compared to monitor. It's not too big of a deal so I am not ranting. I am just passing this feedback in case it is helpful to dev team.

That is what I do in the Hornet.

Not perfect but it helps some.

Same here, I usually push contrast up to max (at the bottom right corner of the AMPCD), and tone down the gain to 3~4. The map is still visible, and the symbology is perfectly readable (at least in the G2).

Not my work. When I downloaded it I played with the modified lua files so it didn’t change the mfds, just the AMPCD.

Yeah I edited it so that it was just the changes to the AMPCD and not the MFDs, works fine for me (I haven’t tried the LMAV on the AMPCD though).
