You would think this would be a really simple thing to add... still such a fundamental thing continue to be overlooked.

Yes, from people much more knowledgeable than me, I believe it is a very trivial fix, which makes this (and the same on Marianas) very frustrating.

Still, BN has given the team a bump on this, so hopefully, it won't be much longer.

No, it is not, sadly.  Really don't know what we have to do to get this simple fix made.

Well, today the Marianas kneeboard got fixed, but sadly, still nothing on Syria map.  Oh well, partly good news.

I probably will never buy another map by Ugra.  Their performance in terms of customer support both here and on Normandy is pretty appalling, in my opinion. None existent really.

Its a shame considering that the kneeboard is pretty difficult to work with anyway, this just makes it harder and on a map that really benefits from good information.

Just confirming the Syria kneeboard folder does not work as of 2.7.15. The maps included in the default kneeboard don't include airport charts for TACAN, radio, etc. Would be nice to have this folder working like it does with the other maps.

We've been saying that for 2 years now.  It's disgraceful that this apparently trivial fix has not been implemented by Ugra.

By looking at the file and config structure of the Caucasus map (and other maps in previous builds that didn't have the edc encryption yet), it's literally just this:

Open up terrain.cfg.lua and have this line in it:

KNEEBOARD = dir.."Kneeboard/"

Done. If those config files weren't encrypted, we could do it ourself in less than half a minute...

It's just a wild guess though that in case of the Syria map there wouldn't be any differences in how it's being handled by the engine. The issue could be anywhere else.

Yep, it's been mentioned before.  People have tried to make the adjustment but no luck.

The fact that it appears to be a one line fix makes this all the more frustrating. I say again, I will never buy anything by Ugra again. Appalling standard of service with their 2 maps.  No customer contact in these forums at all.

@BIGNEWY is there nothing that can be done? As @Eldur mentioned it seems like a small fix and it's meanwhile also fixed in the Marianas.

Appreciate the frustration, as you know it is reported, I will bump the report, but that is all I can do at the moment.

@BIGNEWY has been really helpful in bumping this over the last 2 years, but I'm afraid it has made no difference.  UGRA seem to be a law unto themselves.

I'm kind of surprised that ED are not able to do more than just jog UGRA's memory from time to time, but obviously, I know nothing about the contractual arrangements!

Does anybody know any way of contacting UGRA directly?

They used to have a website and a contact email at the bottom. Now it can only be reached through internet archive and probably they only speak russian:
