I opened a thread about the F-111 on Heatblur's forums, with the hope that they were working on it ages ago. Turns out they went with the Treadrop and the Eurofighter, no biggie. Hopefully someone bring this wonderful bomber to DCS World at some point. I would love to fly it.

They didn't "went" with the Eurofighter. Eurofighter is being made by TruGrit, Heatblur just help them with some techical aspects and they merged for this project. But TrueGrit is the one providing the data and SME.

Do you want to argue semantics with me? Yes they went with the Eurofighter, TrueGrit was integrated and merged with Heatblur. It no longer exists, and is part of Heatblur, and as such the Eurofighter effectively became Heatblur's project. Not sure what your point is really, we have no idea whether Heatblur or anyone else is working on the F-111 at this point.

You suggested HB chose A-6 and EF instead of F-111. So i thought you didn't know about the two unannounced modules to be released BEFORE the Intruder and possibly EF. I'm the last person to be a dick and argue about semantics.

Having just checked the Heatblur Trello roadmap, there is one “unannounced” module, slated for 2022.

As well as the announced Typhoon and A-6, which are both undated

I was looking at the roadmap to check for the next HB CV…

Given that HB state that Saratoga will follow Forrestal (Ranger & Independence likely much later), I’d easily be persuaded that the unannounced 2022 Heatblur module is a Navy Phantom - F-4J or F-4S…

makes perfect sense with the F-14, A-6 and pair of CVs

*Note that this is old media. All I can comment on at this stage is that the new model is currently being reworked from the ground up with 3D scans 🤐

We really need two versions of the F-111.  F-111A for the future vietnam map, and the F-111F for the gulf war style missions.  That would give you the realism of matching a specific model with a period in time depending on the map, and PGM usage in the form of LGBs with the F.

C’mon Aviators,

Please give this thread some love to show ED and the other creators that there is alot of support to create this amazing aircraft!!

Bring on the mighty PIG (what aussies called the ardvark). I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

F-111? Yes please. I'd buy it day one, hour one, minute one.

On the plus side, I have a lovely F-15E as a modern replacement. Just need that terrain following radar to kick in.

The F-111E operated out of Incirlik during the first gulf war as well. Don't forget El Dorado Canyon either. An A,E or F version would be optimal as they were all three involved in significant combat operations.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Funny. "EF-111 With No Weapons" like there was any other kind of EF-111. All it could do is blast out electrons. It never had a kinetic capability.

We have to be kind, the video is aimed at non-uber nerds who think the number 1688 is just a year when stuff happened in Europe.
