fixed HMCS align trouble

I'm having trouble aligning the viper HMCS.

I get successfully to the DED page showing coarse, az/el and roll

but when i press m-sel to get the first cross nothing happens. The hud stays the same, it doesn't go into the align screens

any help please

well it's now 13 jan. 2022 and i have that same problem! I could before but after the last update.

I just tried it and it works, but you have to make sure the HMCS knob is on.  I hit M-SEL before rotating it and nothing happened, but after i turned it on it worked as advertised.

LOL and it wont work either in GND mode

Yes If you’re doing a cold start you need to align the HMCS otherwise the symbology will be offset from where it should be. Locked target box won’t be in the right place and locking using the HMCS will be unreliable.

Here's a short track of HMCS aligning. Steps are:

• Ground power CONNECT
• Main power MAIN PWR
• MMC ON
• UFC ON
• HUD brightness INCREASE
• HMCS brightness INCREASE
• UFC LIST, MISC, HMCS (LIST, 0, RCL)
• DCS SEQ
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• Align helmet cross with HUD cross
• Enable PRESS
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• Cursor slew to align top HMCS cross with HUD cross
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• Cursor slew to align  bottom HMCS cross with HUD vertical line
• ICP 0 M-SEL
• DCS RTN

I have noted that the hud has to be in nav mode, not air to ground mode for it to work too. I had a nasty habit of turning on my mavs and harms before trying it and forgetting to exit a-g

I can't move the cursor (the two reverse video asterisks) on the DED between the three lines on text. I can only hit M-SEL to end the current step and then M-SEL again to silently move to the next step. And the DED doesn't show it, the cursor just stays on the top line.   Is that realistic?

its already reported and I have tested a fix for the alignment

I just experienced this bug/issue. I can only carry out the first step of the alignment. I cannot move the cursor down to the 2nd or 3rd option. I just installed the latest patch this morning. Is it supposed to still be broken or did that fix you tested get applied and I'm seeing a regression?

please make a new thread with a short as possible track replay showing the issue and we will take a look.
