I really wonder if Razbam manages to equal, or even exceed the pilot body quality of their AV8B module.

They just get in the way and I have to turn them off, If I want to see myself I'll just look down at my real lap.

Ok, thank you for letting us know..

For those of us that do fly in VR and like the cramped feeling you experience when sitting in a real fighter cockpit, the pilot body is a great addition to immersion.

Really hope the 1st person pilot body is included on EA release (I think I read somewhere it will be)

Sorry if I came off as rude, but I was honestly just curious if anyone found any footage of the 1st person pilot body yet. I didn't want to start yet another "pilot body feature is useless" discussion. Unfortunately, as most (if not all) YT content creators don't use VR, they tend to have it switched off.

Early sneak peaks looked astonishing, so I'm really curious as to how it evolved since.

fully agree. It pisses me to no end to have paid for the module MONTHS ago, and now seeing content creators videos with what is obviously a very playable version while I have to wait. its F-14 all over again.

Early access means just that. I fully understand those willing to wait for a more finished versions. but the sooner the better for ME..

Disclaimer: The followings are all educated guess, based on my software development experience and common sense.

Those videos do not show you everything. There must be a lot of things they cannot tell and show you due to NDA. It was not a live demo, when failing would be really bad looking (the recent Google AI demo comes into mind). Of course, these video. will not show you how badly things do not work or even crashes.

Just kidding above. I have not watched all the previews, but only Longshot has one mud-moving demo using TGP. We have no idea how much of the preview works.

But if you got that version, you do. In case there would be a lot of things did not work, what would happen next? I think I don't have to continue.

I have no insider information. And I dunno, I think I am no less wanting this gorram plane right here right now.

Well, generally when they release to YT creators isn't it a  release version? And it's still EA so we still expect bugs so holding it worrying about bugs doesn't really make sense.

It's curious though, the hype mixed with the seeming disinterest on the part of the sellers towards the buyers. All kinds of colourful "You want it! You want now!"    followed by either silence or a curt 'You'll get it when you get it." 

 

I'll buy it of course, like everyone else. I just hope RazBam isn't looking for kisses and affection once it's out. I think it's been made abundantly clear: This is just business. Cold and hard.

At least not in the tradition of ED…If true, where on earth is the Sina Map?!

I can’t say for everyone else, i bet there will be bugs on release, but tolerance differs. It may please me but nobody here wants A/V-8B, Mirage 2000C or F-16C all over again…

Not to mention, would ED need to update the core so that both would be compatible or vice versa?

I fully get that we all want this module, but maybe your understanding of preorder (with no actual date given) is flawed. Preorder is a promise to supply a good or service when it becomes available, right now it is not. If you feel you have been wronged ask for a refund. The devs will release it when they believe it to be ready. In the mean time fly what you have all the modules are great! Or get out of the house and enjoy your life….

Yes, we're all aware of how it works. We've been here for a while. But that doesn't mean some haven't noticed the odd mixture of hype and disinterest on the part of the sellers.

That at about 20 posts a year you might not be the best source for what the community experience is.

A version that's good enough for YT previews may well not be good enough for paying customers. That's up to ED and Razbam....

Personally I'll let them decide when they think we should be let loose on it.

I agree 100%… my speculation is that ED and the 3rd Parties Devs wasn’t expecting such a positive result/outcome from the MT deployment and, again my speculation, may have caused some reworking of bugs from Razbam. 
 

In my grown up job we attempted a pre-order on one of our products that was very complex system. We were a younger company and thought we were going to rule the world… however lessons learned to NEVER do that again. We made it out alive but had a lot of scraps and scars from forums and social media; luckily this was 12 years ago and social wasn’t what it is now.  We made the same mistakes of early products going to content creators and incentive programs.  I try to give Raz some grace over this (though I’ve made a few jokes at their expense) but it is a little frustrating that something like the ebook hasn’t been delivered, that I know of, and the variety of YT content out there does frustrate the buying public. Guess my point is I’ve lived a similar mistake and can appreciate both sides, the Company’s and the buying public’s but yes this is a frustrating situation for all.

Is ED making the Sina map? 

Also, anyone that is a developer/programmer knows there are ALWAYS bugs, especially, in complex code like DCS and there will be bugs in F-15e and every other module EVEN once it/they reach the stable release. so I'm not sure what you are on about. Are you saying the f15e needs more time to be bug-free? sorry, but I don't get your point here nor does it have to do with what I asked..Other than you making up possible bugs

Please don't speak for others. 1 The f16 was only in development for about a year before it went to EA  so I was fully aware of the state it HAD to be in. But I got it for 34 bucks so .... I buy it and wait,I might break it back out next year and catch up on the improvement.

2. The m2000 and Av-8 didn't bother me one bit because I bought them in EA and I'm not a pilot so most of the broken stuff I never even knew about. lol

with that said what does any of your posts have to do with what I asked other than you claiming the Sani map should be out? You could have stopped there.

What I got was, if there is a vid from the YTubers of a preview product, the product should be ready for release…

One buyer finds it okay does not mean other buyers do, let alone ED and any developers who have a “reputation” to consider…

Disclaimer: I agree another poster says such videos may do as much harm as good.
