It looks great, but I can't help but wonder about AI LoS: to me it would seem to make more sense to test that while we only have static presets...

I m not so sure about it. For me it seams that the shape of the clouds are static and only the "preset" is moving around. I hope I m wrong and Also the clouds itself are dynamic and change their shape

I’m sure that there are some limitations with what has been done so far, there probably always will be. If you go looking for imperfections with anything you’ll find it. 
 

I think it looks fantastic! Well done, looking forward to seeing it live. Things are progressing well.

I have an IFR navigation sandbox in the Syria map that could used that dynamic wheatear.  Specially if the ATC/NAVAIDs are aware of the weather and react accordingly to it

What good is dynamic weather if the rain is broken and I can't see it in VR? Or the performance of weather is so horrible that no servers (or even in singleplayer) run with any weather?

For me it's the latter: I can see rain just fine in VR, but using any "overcast + rain" preset reduces my framerate to single digits...

I believe Nineline said somewhere that the moving clouds video is not demonstrating dynamic weather.  Just simply that the clouds will move with the wind as the old clouds did.
