TWC_SLAG
There is a book about the Lancaster called “Bomber” by Len Deighton that is a wonderful read. It’s fiction, but the author is an expert historian. He knows so much about the Lancaster and the Ju-88 nightfighter. I highly recommend it. Occasionally, I pick it up and just randomly open it and read for awhile. Scoobyon
Funnily enough Digby from ZF also recommended it, Audiobook is available from this guys channel here. I never knew they said left left and right instead of just a single left until it was mentioned to me. Do recommend the listen https://youtu.be/F6U0e5DUdNQ Not that anybody apart from me cares but after more research there was approximately 913 different proposed changes between 1941 and 1943, just though that was a cool fact null 3 Minor Lancaster Fanboy

I remember him describing the evasive corkscrews used to throw off nightfighters - and especially how agile the huge Stirling was in the air Very much looking forward to the Lancaster, and would love to see her joined by a 214 Sqn Fortress (skin), B.IV / IX and NF.II or later Mosquitoes

At the moment theres isnt one since we dont want to rush to meet deadlines and release something unfinished We’re getting it for Christmas ain’t we? According to my Google translate that bit about not wanting to rush to a deadline probably means you’re going to surprise us all and drop it, along with accompanying bomb-trolley, tractor and Hurricane escort just in time for Christmas? Oh yeah, I expect that’s what’ll happen here. I can see it now, I’ll be creeping away with a bowl of Christmas pudding, binding four engines and all the tits n bits to get airborne instead of watching The Great Escape or The Wizard of Oz on the telly. Struggling to decide which to fly first. The Lanc, the Hurri or to set up brandy soaked tractor races around the airfield? Very much looking forward to all of it. We’ll be needing an add-on to the Channel Map of course, to include Lincolnshire. Flares or Target Indicators so the Mossie can do it’s PFF stuff. Could all be pretty good but I’m getting ahead of myself and carried away with the chrimble spirit. Keep up the good work I say and well done. Worth taking the time to make things right and it’s looking pretty good. Merry Christmas.
