Please Add the Exocet ASM

Hello, Aerges,

After updating the EA version of the F1-CE, please add the Exocet anti-ship missile.  The Exocet would be a great asset to have for pilots flying missions in the SA maps, Persian Gulf map, and Syria map.

From my somewhat flawed recollection, only the EQ-4/5/6/7 actually carried them, although I wouldn't be surprised if the CT, CR and perhaps the Moroccan F1M could too.

If we did end up with the ability to add the Exocet, I'd like to have the ARMAT too.

Just the EQ5 and EQ6. The EQ7 was never delivered. No Exocet on the CT and CR - that's completely out of their task-range. The CT is a tactical fighter-bomber with a secondary A-A role. The CR is a tactical recce-platform (replacing the M IIIR/ IIIRD) with secondary A-G and self-protection capabilities. Not even sure if the CR did ever cary the S530F.

The Exocets were carried by France's SuE.

I'm not sure whether we're supposed to open that can of worms, adding Exocets and ARMATs to airframes that could never carry them.

Spanish F1s never had Exocet, and only version that may perhaps theoretically be able to use them may have been F1M. Even then though just a day or two ago a former F1M pilot said here that they had neither that missile nor the avionic capability for it on that type.

Regardless though, it shouldn't really be a thing on CE and even EE. It really was a rareity among F1s. EQs had it, and maybe, just maybe ADs too, not sure.

Thank you for the responses that revealed which F-1 variants that did or did not have the capacity for the exocet. I thought the F-1 CE would have it but subsequent responses said no. I found little online information for the F-1 CE.

Since Spain is close to the Atlantic Ocean,  i thought some F-1 variations would have the exocet missles for use in ASW or coastal defense against hostile shipping.

Only the EQ-5, EQ-6 and MF2000 ASTRAC could actually carry and fire Exocet (or at least, to my knowledge).

The F1M had the radar to support it, but didn't receive the modifications to actually equip it and fire it (which makes sense as Spain never operated Exocet - Spain uses the Harpoon on their Hornets and the Penguin on their Sea Hawks).

I hope that AI EQ gets Exocet though.

Fair enough - looked incredibly long as the camera panned around… and the double take on the EQ made me think they were trying to hint

freezing the frame it looks like some of the length is actually the rear of the wing???

AFAIK they had other planes equipped mit Harpoons, thus no need for Exocet.
