Hi guys, as you know we’re still working on our upcoming Alphajet mod, and we don’t necessarily have the time to work on the Bronco. One of the recurring issues with it was the jittering wheels. A guy named Moran found a way to fix the problem while waiting for a future patch. I’m sharing here a screenshot of what needs to be done. Thanks to him ! Enjoy it ❤️

@ TATOR: Many thanks for posting the fix Moran found! It worked for me. No more jittering wheels since I commented line 203. 😃

The OV-10A is a great aircraft to fly. Never thought flying a turboprop would be so much fun. Would be really great if you guys could spend some time on this mod after the upcoming Alphajet. We've got lots of jets in DCS but only few flyable turboprops... 😢 Actually the OV-10A is the only one I know.

Great if it worked! I can’t really say whether, after the Alphajet, the Bronco will get many updates. It takes a lot of time and energy, so let’s wait and see.

Is there any way to steer this thing on the ground during taxi?

I also didn't find any binding to control both brakes with a single key or axis.

You have to steer with differential braking, the front wheel just casters.

Thanks for the fix. I had stopped using the mod since the wheels started jittering, but took it for a spin yesterday after commenting out the line and had a blast! Thank you for this mod Tator, imo its the best feeling and looking mod available.

Unfortunately I have no additional twin axis lever just to control the brakes. Both throttle axis' are bound to the engines. Therefore I use a 5-pos dome knob to control the brakes.

This allows to setup left and right brake to a 5-pos dome knob: left brake = left switch, right brake = right switch, both brakes = center switch and to use the dome switch as a simple steering. That's how I set the brakes up for all WW II piston aircrafts and for the Bronco too. But for a controlled stop there is also a binding required to control both brakes simultaneously. Why is that additional binding missing - both brakes, either as an axis or as a switch - for the Bronco?

That's the way as it's implemented in all WW II piston aircrafts which uses differential braking: one binding for left brake, another for right brake and a third binding for both brakes.

btw: I already use thethree switch bindings for left, right and both brakes but they don't seem to work as intended. The aircraft is turning right, no matter if brake is active or not.

We are not interested in going third-party. Everyone working on the Bronco/Alphajet has other jobs, and we simply don’t have the time. 😄

Just edited my post at the same time than you did. I'm already using these tree bindings but they don't seem to work as they should. Almost no effect, at least not enough to compensate the strong right drift. May be '(unstable)' has some meaning ...

ok, I use a pretty old VPC rudder pedals set and with that the OV-10 taxis pretty easily once a bit of practice, I can even turn it on itself inside a hangar, like this:

 

 

perhaps you could purchase a used set online ( as they can be pretty expensive if purchased brand new) ?
