Aigle2 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Hi everyone. I've decided to start a project about the SEPECAT Jaguar A. I've started gathering data and sources, and I'm starting to launch processes with the French Air Force, Dassault Aviation and the French Air and Space Museum to obtain access to more data and real airframes, for scans and documentation. I choose the A version for three reasons : - French Jaguars were less advanced in terms of avionics and systems, meaning easier to model and code. - I think it would complement perfectly the Mirages modules currently in DCS, representing a big part of the French Air Force between 1980 and 1990 in DCS. - Being French I can have access and understand French sources, which helps a lot. The goal would be to create the mod in a two/three years timeframe. If it is successful, I would like to try obtaining third-party status with ED and launch a company around this project. I am more a coder (I'm an Engineer IRL, having worked on physics modeling and Artificial Intelligence mainly), and I'm looking for 3D/2D artists to join me in this adventure. If any other profile want to help, it will also be appreciated ! If we can become a small team with enough skills to commit fully to this, this would be awesome. We are still looking for a 3d artist to join the project. The goal is for the position to be paid in the long term. Send me a pm if you are interested, bonus point if you are in France or EU. We have a 4 years roadmap from start to finish. Current plans are to try to create an official DCS module if everything goes well, and quality standards are met. A studio will be created if the project goes well enough. More details about the global project, business plan, design philosophy and workflows, will be shared in private. Send me a pm if interested. Even very motivated beginners are accepted, so don't hesitate. As soon as this position is filled, active developement will start, as every other aspect is now ready. Aigle2 2

Unfortunately, it's not possible to have a laser designator without using FC3 avionics along with some stuff that can't be overwritten. This means that some realism would be sacrificed, so if this were to use the Su-25(A) avionics, you would still hear the SPO-15 RWR, for example. Maybe one day ED could add a simple laser device kind of like avSimpleRadar, but that's just wishful thinking on my part...

It just does not use a Camera.
