This is a requirement for the map, wherever AI traffic can go - you can not do civilian traffic (this only applies to the sea)

Requirements may change in the future.

Maybe a few freighters would be possible as static objects at the ports? The ports look a bit abandoned.

That would enhance this wonderful map even more.

Agreed. And the MB-339 devs are also good with the community engagement.

Some of the others, not so much.

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

This is general to development, not about OnReTech in particular. There are many shades of grey to this topic so I'll keep it "simple".

It depends on how much time it takes out of development. If this is anything like programming where the best productivity (in my and many others experience) is in a quiet place without distractions. Social media is the king of distractions. If we work on something unknown or hard (for us) then once distracted it can take some time for us to "get back into it" and that can easily lead to hours of "lost" time per day and that quickly adds up. Especially if you keep thinking about the interactions afterwards.

If we are just placing objects based on a photo then it probably isn't an issue during those times, I'm talking about "working stuff out".

Lets put it another way. A dev always loses productivity time if they have to interact with social media unless they do it after hours or they are employed to do it.

There is a line for dev to follow, productivity vs chat. Some devs mainly want to get the project out so they can start making money to eat and pay bills, others love the customer interaction and include that as part of their payoff. I won't criticize the former because the later is more visible to us. Both are working hard to get the product to us.

I think that communication with users is included in the development of the module. Yes, it takes time. But this time is planned in advance.

For example: on Thursday, open a forum, read, write tasks to the backlog, discuss with the team, if the task is suitable for completion - add it to to-do list.

All tasks are formed in the backlog - their implementation depends on many factors.

Of course, it is ideal to have a person in the team who generates tasks and bugs from users, forms them into our project management system, but so far we cannot afford this. Everything is ahead.

I can't compare because we don't have a map of Syria. I can only say that the fps in Sinai is at a high level (testing was carried out on different settings).

Now we are waiting for the results of testing VR

I'm kind of late to the party and this may have already been addressed but I have a question regarding choice of bases being included. Are the bases chosen to be included for each country actually relevant to each countries Military. I.E. Will we be able to place Available units at the bases they actually operate out of? Or will we have to interpolate the best solution?

All bases have different parking lots for units, but shelters were made for special aircraft (now it had to be redone, the shelter was designed for mig 21, but someone wants to take off at f18, had to be made for all aircraft) and etc..

if I understood the question correctly...let me know

You provided a reasonable answer...the problem was I didn't ask the question clearly...Let me try again.

Specific Aircraft operate out of base within the planned map area...

Abu Sultan operates SA342L Gazelles...
Abu Suwayr operates F-16C Vipers...
Al Ismailiyah operates Mi-8 Hips...
Abu Hamad operates AH-64s...
Kom Awshim operates CH-47s

My question is will all of the Military bases in the detailed area be available since we have DCS aircraft to utilize them?

The bases and the aircraft assigned are listed Here: https://www.scramble.nl/planning/orbats/egypt/egypt-air-force#HE19124

Air Bases of Egypt that are included in the detail zone and are ready now:
Al Ismailiyah Air Base
Faid
Kibrit Air Base
Abu Sultan
Abu Suwayr
As Salihiyah
Bir Jifjafa/Malez
Wadi al Jandali
Al Mansurah
Az Zaqaziq
Inshas Airbase
Cairo International Airport
Cairo West
Bilbeis Air Base

+6 additional bases located in the Sinai Peninsula (they will be announced later)

Egypt air bases that we plan to make after EA:
Quwaysina
Burma/Tanta Air Base
Al Rahmaniyah
Borg-el-Arab/Intl
Jiyanklis New
Gebel el Basur
Al Khatatbah
Kom Awshim
Beni Suef
Wadi Abu Rish
El Minya
Hurghada
Wadi Abu Shihat

Of course, many of them are used for the Egyptian Air Force.
But there is no binding to specific aircraft, but this can be done in the mission editor and base what you need there.

@OnReTech I've attached a few below for Egypt, Israel and Jordan, taken from "SAM Site Overview.kmz".

The original (which contains EWR and SAM site locations from just about everywhere and something I highly recommend) can be found here.

Incindentally, for the EWR sites, would it be possible to leave them without radomes and only include the revetments/berms etc? This would allow us to place functional units instead of a static map object (which is what other maps do).

Egypt_SAM_sites.kmz 61.01 kB · 7 downloads Israel_SAM_sites.kmz 2.57 kB · 7 downloads Jordan_SAM_sites.kmz 3.35 kB · 4 downloads

I can't download SAM Site Overview.kmz, the resource is no longer available and the link does not work, maybe you have this data?

Here's one I kept around. Looks like the original creator (Sean O'Connor of IMINT & Analysis) no longer maintains it .
