j4cdkaw Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 After new patch, back part of the english cockpit is in russian. 2
DmitriKozlowsky Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Its a bilungual cockpit. In Brighton Beach, Brooklyn NYC, where there is a large Russian and former USSR population, that random combination of RUssian and English is called Junglish. With a "J". 2
N1vram Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I was experiencing this too, certain parts of the cockpit were in English and other parts were in Russian.
Avio Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I confirm this problem. Caution labels, when light up, show in Russian.
Flappie Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 @NightMan I'll try to reproduce your issue. Please attach your options.lua file (from Saved Games/DCS.../Config). ---
IceyJones Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 (edited) yes. backpanel is complete russian. and everything that is illuminated is in russian too when the light goes on. for example the AP buttons. not engaged, its english. when you turn them on, its russian Edited October 29, 2022 by IceyJones
Lukas2438 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Same goes for APU panel You can see the english texture for turned-off lamps, overlayed by russian labels
v2tec Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 (edited) I can confirm this. BTW: A list of changes for the KA-50 since the last patch, would be great - there's definitely more than in the patch description. Please have a look a Volk's video: I wonder why these changes weren't announced in the patch notes. Edited October 30, 2022 by Hive 2
Bamboosle Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Have this issue as well, glad to see it already got a mention.
Madmatt_BFC Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Oh thank god, i have been spending all day trying to figure out what was causing this mixmatch in the BS cockpit. Hope it gets fixed soon! And at the time I didn't mention the longer trigger time needed to fire because I intended to find out if that was intentional/normal.

v2tec Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 (edited) Agree with the video and as mentioned in other posts - I hope this is a bug and is not the way bs3 is going to be. On the other side, if these are effects, because the KA-50 becomes more realistic (reacting to wind...) - it might be ok. NightMan Posted November 3, 2022 Author Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) Today ED launched another update, and this time they documented (some) of the changes to the Ka-50. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/ Why not documenting the changes in the cockpit/textures? Why not documenting the junglish? Why not documenting the AP doing completely absurd things? Could it be the new INS? Edited November 3, 2022 by NightMan
Madmatt_BFC Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 After the latest hotfix (2.8.0.32235.1), cockpit warning lights still bugged for English cockpit as detailed above. A-10C, AV-8B, F-16C, F/A-18C, KA-50, Mi-8, UH-1H, FC3, CA, WWII, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf Gaming Rig: I7 7700k @5GHz, Corsair H115i Water Cooling, 32GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3600MHz DDR4 SDRAM, Aorus GeForce GTX 1080Ti, 2 x Samsung 960 Pro M.2 1TB NVMe SSD's, Warthog HOTAS w/ Slew mod, MFG Crosswind Pedals, 2 x TM Cougar MFD's, Oculus Rift-S, TrackIR 5, Asus ROG PG3480 34" GSync Monitor @3440x1440-100Hz, Asus 27" Monitor @1920x1080-144Hz, Windows 10 x64
Frederf Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Noticed the laser-warning-attacka and the other one next to it are still in Russian with an English cockpit setting. It was probably overlooked because they are hidden behind cockpit geometry from the default camera position. The only two I found.
Solution NightMan Posted December 17, 2022 Author Solution Posted December 17, 2022 I have just tested version 2.8.1.34437. It appears this has been corrected, but, once again, there is nothing about it in the ChangeLog: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/
