fixed TACAN T/R issue

The single mission hercules for the F-5 wants you to use tacan and now it just spins endlessly and never works. Was working fine last patch.

The TACAN works as it should. What does not work well if the TACAN dial when used with the mouse "click and drag" feature. Avoid it like plague and usemosue scroll wheel and it should work.

The "clilck ad drag" bug is reported.

Did a follow-up test.

 

It appears to be HSI bearing pointer that is in fact bugged, the pointer stays stationary in ADF mode as well.

I just tried to do the navigation training mission and as far as I can determine, there was no bearing pointer in the HSI.  It seems to be missing.  Is that correct?

This is a fresh bug. HSI DF/TACAN arrow stays still. It's reported.

Seeing the same with the HSI pointer being locked.  Along with afterburner not engaging randomly with throttle advancement, sidewinder on one wing tip causes 90deg roll when pulling hard up on elevator, plane disintegrates in the wake turbulence of other aircraft, sidewinder sound much louder than it used to be, even with volume turned down all the way.  Last update of the F-5 added a lot of bugs.

Here I thought I just needed to re-adjust my A/B detent settings.  Glad it's not just me that's noticed this lately.

Coming back slightly from mil power and then going to A/B seems to work every time, but going from mil to A/B is hit or miss.  Will have to dig into this a bit more.

I will second this, its a great training module, we use a lot in our flight school ( The awesome shadowlands....check it out!) and getting this fixed would be great, as well as the other niggles...also, any news on the promised update to the module in general?

It appears ADF navigation is also now bugged because of this as well; since ADF only shows the direction via the pointer.

TACAN still functions in the sense you can sort of track where is, by seeing the distance if in T/R, and a rough bearing to if you spin the course needle.

 

It's the direction finder triangle that does not function.

No, no. I could swear the TACAN bearing needle head was simply not stuck. I even remember navigating exactly on station so that it swooped the needle around on flyover. Plus I followed tutorials step by step, to the letter because I was literally starting from scratch.

There's this line in the following change logs:

"Fixed: TACAN frequency left knob click-and-drag control is bugged"

That's the course needle, which yeah; is working just fine.

 

But that's not the problem here

I confirm these are different issues. A fix for TACAN/ADF needle bug is in the works.
