No... CH wanted to make them independent, people will be using only those they will want to. This way is also easier to get updates. You'll get use to it 😉 !

There was an offer a while back to configure a remote repo with all the assets.  That would be the "best of both worlds" as OVGME could detect new versions of packages and download them, instead of us having to do this manually.  I think it's something I would prefer over the current delivery method.

I'm Dragon in the Multiplayer servers.

Sorry, I'm late to the party and have a question...

First are there any 3d Models out there of this system?

https://www.northropgrumman.com/what-we-do/air/joint-threat-emitter-jte/

They would be handy to have for use on the Nellis Map. Maybe with the ability to select different sams?

Second, any chance of adding the Tall King Radar?

Just discovered these mods, jeez they are so good. I wonder if anything here will ever make it into DCS World as an official free module.  Frankly, the quality is even better than newer DCS assets.

Thanks @currenthill - I think you are right to not make that compromise.

Undestand,it's just that ED could have purchased mods from many modders and integrated them into the game, it's unclear why they don't do this, then we wouldn't have bothered to figure out what-how to make everything work for the player

Yeah, I understand your frustration. I would also like to get better tools to be able to implement even better assets. 👍🏻

I agree, CH don't touch anything, your mods are perfect in their current state.

Hello CH
I'm making a SAM template on the Sinai map, and I'd like to put your mods in it.
I would then like to make these templates available on the DCS users page.
Is that ok?
And thanks again for your work.XXL!!!!!

Thanks!

If no actual assets are re-distributed I'm all for it! 👌🏻

I've just asked ED about updating old Combined arms code and they replied that they are thinking about new version of the module! Dreams come true if you believe

Is there a way to download all the vehicles as a pack and not 1 by 1?

Nope, they currently come as separate assets.

Correct. At the moment, this is the least worst solution so to say. I tried the large zip solution for the Swedish Military Assets pack. It created a lot of problems with downloading and updating.

Yep, it's still on the table to investigate. I have done some minor testing so far. I would have to find a place to host the XML file though as my Google Site doesn't support it.

Well, I won't rule anything out.

By the way, here's a short update of what I'm working on right now. It was suppose to be a rather small project with a single unit asset and nothing super fancy. But it turned out to be fighting me on every part of the journey. 😅

Here's a sneak peek of it though.

I think we will see this radar in action soon. It's a prototype, model WIP now.

That is definitely a Tomahawk that unit is launching. Plus the camo scheme matches exactly to reference images:

Nah, the shape of the vehicle does not match, it does not quite look like a tomahawk and the camo looks different too, i bet on a chinese CJ-10 Long Sword

Haha! I love these 'guess what it is' challenges! 👏🏻

And the winner is @Nick_17 ! It is the Chinese CJ-10 (earlier called the DH-10) ground launched land attack cruise missile. It's based on the Kh-55 and the Tomahawk, capable of subsonic terrain following long range strikes. There are three of them mounted on a WS2400 8x8 chassis.

Thanks again for your work, and I'd like to point out a slight bug with the missiles... 👏👍

Thanks!

Is it this one (from the readme):

Known issues:
- When missile leaves launcher it will rotate towards the target for a split second

That's an issue I've spent hours trying to fix with this one. This looks like a pretty easy to make asset, but there is a difference. This launcher doesn't traverse, it only elevates - and it doesn't elevate to 90 degrees. This combination (not VLS launched, fixed traverse and an advanced cruise missile scheme) introduces this bug, and it doesn't look like I can do anything to fix it.

Very glad to play with this new asset. Thanks a lot.
when cruise missile starts from plane or ship it looks small, but when it leaves truck, it looks so large!

Great work with the PzH 2000 - looks great.  On the subject of ground vehicles, would you consider someday bringing us the FV107 Scimitar?  It's a lightly-armored tracked reconnaissance vehicle armed with a 30mm autocannon and a 7.62mm NATO machine gun, in use with the British army and Latvian Land Forces.  Here's a decent-looking 3d model but you may have to contact the modeler(s) as it doesn't appear to be for sale or download.
