resolved Multithreading very poor performance - fixed with slow repair

Single or mulitplayer? What plane, what map? VR of 2d?

The map uses a mod - High digit SAMs

Made the mission myself for a squadron training session and been in and out for a few days without issues

Remove the mods, Im seeing 180fps on the start screen to 140 to 150fps in falklands in an f14 everything on ultra, There are however drop spikes for me 70 to 85fps but im running a 4090. Thats in 2D trackir

I’m getting what I would describe as frame smearing. as I move vr headset the sharp screen goes liquid. Frame blurring.

Frame timing in vr is excellent. Solid green so that issue is great
Smearing between frames is unplayable at moment.
I tried openXR and steam. Tried many settings, finally left it on all “auto” settings to left Steam decide.

It’s fixable but…

turns out the  setting blur / smoothing is creating some very ugly events. Turn off blur in graphics menu.

Found fix

 Hyper Threading is amazing! It used all of my E-Cores on my i9-12900k and 2 P-Cores. 6 to 7 ms of latency in VR down from 12 to 9 ms!!!

English Channel, Cold and Dark, 109 K-4. Sitting on the ground and started the engine.

High graphic settings apart from shadows set to medium. MSAA X2. All foliage bars maxed out.

HP Reverb G2 V2, RTX 4090, DDR5 5600

This was with zero overclock on my i9-12900k. I am going to overclock the E-Cores all to 40 now. And P-Cores to 52. 

62 to 90fps in VR. Obviously GPU bottlenecked. +260MHz GPU Core overclocked. Memory Overclocked to +1800MHz

I7 980X . GTX 1070 . RAM GT dominator DDR3......!!!!!

From 40-60 FPS to 90-100 FPS

Single player.  Soft as butter..

hi, 13700k  and 4090 with 6000mhz ram here and reverb G". Can you please explain how do you launch it?!?I just double click on the new icon with open xr running and wmr open. Is there anything more to do???It seems the same performance, but maybe i am missing something

nullSo i entered the game and it was pretty bad again... checked with ctrl-pause and it tells me te following:

 

CPU bottlenecked (rendering thread) im getting around 20 fps using MT.

 

Ryzen 5 3600 - 48GB ram - RTX3070 - Reverb G2 - Medium/Low settings.

 

I hope Multithreading remains optional becaus i cant play like this

Same here. Just taking the FPS count from where I start, before even touching the controls, there is a 50+  FPS  increase.  Oddly though I have an i7 9700 OC to 5 GHz and a 2080ti and my numbers are the same as yours, literally.

Not sure if I should be happy or mad??  lol 

Also, no crashes so far.

I have my settings 'almost' maxed out.  I'm setting them all to max now to see what happens.  

Also, I'm running it in 5120x1440, so that too has a fps cost.

Just did a quick maxed-out setup run and still 80 to 90 FPS so big thumbs up so far on MT

I also run 3 screens at 5760x1080 So I'm still mad

After some restarts and disable the Motion Reprojection, it is working. This Problem starts for me with the last OB Patch. 
I can say yes, Performance Increase for me in VR. We are in a good way. Congrats ED Team.

are you using any shader mods? 

please try deleting your fxo and metashader2 folder in saved games dcs.openbeta 

ensure all drivers and windows are up to date also as I see a sound error also

Sound error is when windows switches from pc speakers to VR...

All drivers up to date.

No shader mods.

 

Will delete those folders and check back in
